SZA's song "Blind" is about the complexities of a romantic relationship that is plagued with trust issues and insecurity. The lyrics suggest that despite the couple's love for each other, they struggle to fully open up and be vulnerable with one another, leading to misunderstandings and miscommunications.
The song also touches on the idea that sometimes people become blinded by their own emotions and are unable to see the truth in a situation. SZA sings about feeling lost and confused, struggling to trust her partner and feeling like she's in a constant state of emotional turmoil.
Overall, "Blind" is a poignant and introspective song that delves into the complexities of love and heartbreak, and the process of moving on from a failed relationship.

chaeryeong pov.My girlfriend, Shin Ryujin, and I, Lee Chaeryeong, have recently, no, have been dealing with some relationship problems. We have been dating for almost two years. We've talked about moving in together, engagement, marriage, and everything after that, like having and taking care of children, even. That's how far we are, how much we have accomplished. But we are having trust issues. No, I'm having trust issues. No, I don't know. Have I always been like this? But seriously, I trust her, I really do...! I think about her, us, frequently. I'm in love with her and everything about her...
Our maturity after high school, we should have all grown up by then, but Ryujin hasn't at all. She was a jock, she was a bad girl, and she was the hottest. She was so open to others. Who wouldn't love her, like her, be jealous of her, and admire her? She was so popular and she is still so handsome. Meanwhile, I was just some geek, a good student with passing grades, and one that was afraid to converse. When she'd talk to me, or even look at me, I felt like the luckiest girl in the world. I knew, I saw, Ryujin had a whole record of girls she was "dating." Girls wanted her back, but I secured her. Forever. I stole her from all of you.
Ryujin was never controlling. She's not obsessive, and she's not insane. She's a good girlfriend, but is she my dream girlfriend? No, I'm being judgemental. I'm just thinking about back then. What about now? We're all fine now, right?
Ryujin has always begged for attention. She has been seeking it for as long as I could remember. Her past girlfriends gave me trouble. It could have been worse. Did she even want me at first sight? It's just, I remember so vividly, at first, she had asked me if I just wanted to be "classmates with benefits" or something like that. I, of course, declined. That sounded outrageous!
I remember how she spread rumors that we were a couple who frequently went "on and off." Once my friend had told me, it was so heartbreaking to me. But to Ryujin? Not at all, she started it, she didn't care one bit! I always wondered why, but unfortunately, I was a girl who never knew any of the drama or gossip. My friends even contemplated, and tried to convince me she wasn't right. I was considered brave, but I didn't care what anyone said.
I always wondered why she told everyone false information.
But that was all in the past.
She had to have grown out of that state.
I had never once told her I had an ex, an ex-girlfriend. I'm sure it's been hinted at, though, now. A respectful, exquisite girl who went by Hwang Yeji. She cared for me, loved me, looked after me, all the things I crave in a perfect relationship. She did, and still knows the reasons why I cry. No, she was perfect. It was just fine admiring her from afar; I could take that, too. It was too bad we had to break up. I am still in a phase of disappointment and shame once I told her the reason. I miss her everyday, every moment of the day.
