CONNOR'S POV
"Connor! Come on! We're going to be late!" I heard my brother Riley call to me from downstairs eagerly.
I'm still in my room, looking for the perfect shoes to pair with the outfit I'm supposed to be wearing for the shooting of our music video for "Heart Like California" later on.
Not that I'm style conscious or anything. Before, I would not devote my time on choosing the right clothing or what not but now, it's different. Because I'm actually trying to impress someone.
"Hold on! I'm coming!" As I pick out my gray vans from the top shelf of my closet.
I can't stop thinking about Bianca. I met her a week ago, during a meeting with the director of the music video shoot. She's going to be Riley's love interest for the storyline. Of course it had to be Riley, why can't it be me for a change?
Anyway, I got her number the same day and we have been talking to each other almost every day. I don't know how the director found out about her, but I couldn't agree more. She's the perfect fit.
I ran down the stairs carrying my guitar case as I stumble upon Toby who's frantically looking for something in the living room.
"What's going on?" I asked, stopping before leaving the room.
He sighed. "I can't find my phone. I've been looking for it everywhere."
"Maybe it's in the pocket of your guitar case? That's where you always leave it." I said, pointing to his guitar case across the room.
"GUYS! Let's go!" We heard another shout from Riley from outside.
I rolled my eyes. "We're coming!" I shouted back.
"We'll just ask Mom if she could find it for you. Maybe she can just bring it tomorrow when they fly to New York. Riley's been shouting at us for 5 minutes now." I said, motioning Toby to follow me outside.
"Ugh. Fine." He replied.
"Here we are, grandma. Sorry to keep you waiting." I said to Riley with a laugh while putting my guitar at the back of the van.
"Whatever." Riley replied, shutting the door of the car after.
I sat in the front seat while Toby's at the back. Riley will be the one to drive us to the airport, around 30 minutes away from our place. As we are cruising around the city, all I can think about is her. And how I couldn't wait to finally see her again.
