CHAPTER 15

The guys and I pulled up to a restaurant just a few minutes away from the hospital. Connor came out of the car right away and then walked to the other side of the car to open the door for me.

"Have fun" Riley said, looking back with a cheeky grin. I reached up and playfully punched him on his right shoulder just when Connor opened the car door.

"Woah, what did you do, Ri?" Connor asked, sounding very worried.

We both laughed it off as I reached up to Connor's hand as he guide me down the car, not that I needed his guidance but he always does that kind of gesture whenever we both hang out together.

I stopped as he is about to enter the fancy looking restaurant with bright lights covering its facade.

I realized I'm still in my hospital uniform and I haven't had the chance to change clothes yet. I saw from the big window of the restaurant that everyone else is dressed formally, just like Connor.

Connor looked back as he realized I stopped dead in the spot I was standing at when he guided me down the car. He walked up to me with a faint whisper, "Everything alright?"

I looked up at him and turned my gaze back to the window of the restaurant. "I'm still not dressed." I said, embarrassed.

He thought for a while before walking towards the driver side of the car and knocked on its window. Riley pulled the window down with a huge smile on both him and Toby's faces. I shook my head and smiled back at them.

"Get out of the car. Now." He demanded, but still having that softness in his voice. Riley's smile faded.

"What's wrong?" He immediately asked.

Connor looked back at me first then turned back to his brother. "Alex needs to change. And seeing that she doesn't have any other place to change at, I figured she can change inside the car." He said. I furrowed my eyebrows as Riley looked at me. I shrugged at him.

"I mean, the car is heavily tinted anyway and no one can see her from here." He added, looking back at me once again. "Is it okay for you to change here, Alex? Or do you want to go back to your apartment first?" Connor asked, giving me a faint smile.

"Uhm. I could change in there. I don't want to cause any delay anymore. It will be a hassle for all of us if we have to go back to my apartment and go back here again." I said, returning a smile.

Riley shrugged as he pulled up the window and went out of the car, together with Toby. I walked towards the middle part of the car and opened the door. "Stand guard, okay?" I asked before walking in.

"Of course." They all said in unison.

I smiled at the three of them before entering the car. I changed as fast as I can, without trying to cause any noise and rumble - not that anyone would notice - but I have this sense that someone is watching me even if I see the boys just talking to each other outside. When I finished dressing up, I tried to fix my hair by putting it up in a messy bun and a thin silver headband to compliment my dress. I also put on a little make up for it to not look like I just escaped from my really hectic work.

I can see Connor glancing at the car window and even though I know he can't see me from inside, I still smile at him. He's so perfect and I never expected I would end up having a date with a guy like him.

When I decided I was finished, I immediately unlocked the door and stepped out. Connor's jaw dropped a little while the Riley and Toby just gave me a really enthusiastic smile with a thumbs up. I got shy for a bit and looked down as I walked towards them.

"So?" I asked as I looked up at Connor who is smiling very wide at me.

"Saying that you look extremely beautiful is an understatement." He said, mesmerizing me with his bright blue eyes.
