"W-what are you doing here..?" I asked, looking straight at his bright blue eyes that I have missed so much.
He smiled faintly and let out a sigh.
"Hey, Alex! I've finished picking up everyth--" I heard Sean said from behind. I looked back and saw him walking towards Connor and I. "Oh, I didn't realize.." he added, looking back at Connor and I.
"It's fine." Connor said, trying to keep his smile from fading. "I'll just see you tomorrow with Riley and Tobes." He added, looking at Sean.
I shook my head. "No, no. It's okay. We just finished with our reports. You can come in." I said, stepping back so he can pass between Sean and I.
"No, Alex." Connor said, taking a deep breath afterwards. "I don't want to intrude."
There was an awkward silence for about 5 seconds before Sean spoke up. "Connor, right? Hi, I'm Sean." He said, easing up the tension. They shook hands immediately. "Alex here told me a lot about you. Well, I'll leave you two to catch up. We're done anyway." He added, smiling at the both of us.
Sean went back to the living room to get his jacket and backpack as Connor and I just stood near the door frame quietly. "It's nice meeting you, Connor." Sean said, walking out the door. "See you tomorrow, Alex!" He added before heading to the elevator.
"Come in." I said, smiling at Connor.
He smiled back and we both walked towards the kitchen, with him following closely behind. "Do you want anything? I have popcorn or we can make a sandwich.." I said, looking inside the fridge.
"I have something for you." I heard him say. I looked back at him and he has a bouquet of flowers in his hands.
"Connor, you don't have to." I said, giving him my most genuine smile.
"But I want to. If you don't take it, I'll have to give it to Riley. And who knows what he'll do with these." He said, shrugging.
I wasn't able to stand it. I walked towards him and gave him a really tight hug. "Thank you." I whispered.
He hugged me back tightly which caused butterflies to form in my stomach. "Anything for you." He whispered back.
We stayed there for a few more seconds before pulling away. He handed me the flowers and I immediately looked for a vase to put them on.
"Do you want anything to eat?" I asked while fixing the flowers near the sink.
"Speaking of food, I left ours outside. Hold on." He said. I looked back at him and giggles as he sprinted to the door.
"I got it!" He said and as I fix the flowers, he fixed our food. Although I am not that hungry because I already ate with Sean, I still ate with Connor.
We stayed in the living room, watching a movie when he suddenly grabbed the remote and closed the TV.
I looked at him as he sat up straight. "What's up?" I asked, confused.
"Do you have your guitar here?" He asked, standing up.
I thought for a while before realizing that my cousin has her own guitar in her room. "I didn't bring mine here but my cousin has one. She said she hasn't used it as much though so it may not be tuned or something." I said, standing up as well to go to Kylee's room and get the guitar.
When I went back, Connor already has a piece of paper placed on our center table in front of the couch. I handed him the guitar, sat beside him and grabbed the piece of paper from the table.
Model – Before You Exit
"Is this a new song?" I asked while reading the lyrics.
I saw him smile from the corner of my eyes. "Yeah. We're planning to record it while we're here in LA. It still needs a few fixing with the melody and harmonies but so far, that's it." He said while tuning his guitar.
