I ran as fast as I could, my limp slowing me down a bit. I ditched my crutches at the cafe with Mao. My heart raced at the thought of seeing Todoroki.

I asked his sister and Midoriya where he was, and they both gave me the same answer. The park. Our park. Our spot.

"Shoto!" I called out to him as I approached the park. I panted, stopping right in front of him.

"Yumiko?" He had tears in his eyes just like he did when we first met, just without the rain.

"I'm sorry..." I said, trying to catch my breath.

"No, I'm sorry. It's my fault that car hit you... I-"

"That wasn't your fault." I cute him off.

"But-"

"I shouldn't have run away from you." I said. He looked at the ground.

"I'm a coward. I'm the biggest coward to ever exist. I love you. But I'm scared. I'm scared you won't like me for my past, present, or future self." I admitted. This time, it was my turn to stare at the ground.

"Yumiko. I love you for you. I don't love anyone else, but you." He said. Tears began to fall down my face.

"Shoto... I'm sorry!" I bowed. He chuckled and pulled me close to him.

"Yumiko Kisaragi, will you do me the honor of being your boyfriend?" He asked. I giggled as he wiped my tears away.

"I would be an idiot to not want to be with you. Yes, I'd love to be your girlfriend. " I cupped his face, wiping one of his tears away.

"Don't cry by yourself anymore." I said. He smiled softly.

"Don't cry alone either, okay?"

"Okay!" I smiled at him. He leaned in, so I did as well. He connected our lips and held me by my waist. My cheeks flushed a deep red. It was my first kiss, after all.

It started to pour down as we broke the kiss. We both looked at each other and laughed. He held me close as we got rained on.

After everything we've been through, I can finally call him mine. I can finally let myself breathe. Let myself be free from the shackles of my past. I know I'll be happy as long as I'm with him. Shoto. My Shoto.

"Yumiko, let's get under the slide!" He suggested, pulling me along to shield us from the rain. I glanced up at the sky.

For the first time in forever, the rain doesn't seem so bad.
