Hanni thought Minji was a truly terrible teacher, but luckily, Minji had a good understanding of how to guide her. With the help of eight pool sessions a day, after a week of hard work, Hanni finally learned to swim.

They returned from the pool that day. Hanni looked at her wife's red, tired eyes, unable to hide her own worry, and asked, "Minji, are you uncomfortable?"

"No," Minji shook her head, denying it.

"But you look exhausted, and your eyes are red." Hanni frowned and asked, "Haven't you been sleeping well at night?"

"I haven't..." Minji admitted, a little bitterly. "With my beautiful wife holding onto my arm, how could I sleep?"

"Then... just don't hold me," Hanni replied seriously.

"How could I do that?"

"You've thought I was dumb all week, haven't you?" Hanni was exhausted from learning to swim, and after Minji's relentless training, she'd just about reached her limit. "What others take ages to learn, I picked up in a week."

"When I trained new recruits, they took ages too," Minji said. "I kicked them straight into the river, and they all learned right away."

"Then why didn't you just kick me in too?" Hanni, on the verge of exasperation, nearly went mad.

"Because I couldn't bear to."

"No need to hold back, I'm dumb anyway." Hanni scoffed.

"My dumb, adorable wife," Minji finally softened, realizing she'd been a bit too strict and tried to ease the mood.

"You're sleeping on the couch tonight," Hanni snapped, shutting the bedroom door and locking Minji out.

Minji looked at the closed door and sighed. Instead of knocking, she walked to the bathroom mirror in the living room, catching sight of her tired face, which only looked more worn with each passing day. She'd spent the week sleeping on the big bed, arms around her wife, all in the hope that Hanni would quickly get used to her presence, but the reality was, Minji barely got any sleep herself. She lay down on the couch, letting herself relax.

Meanwhile, Hanni changed into her pajamas and put on a face mask, surprised that Minji hadn't come in. Curiosity got the best of her, and she quietly opened the door, peeking out to see her wife sound asleep on the couch. Her brow creased as she watched Minji's exhausted face.

After a moment, Hanni moved closer, switched off the living room light, and gently covered Minji with a blanket. "She's clearly worn out and pushing herself too hard," she whispered with a sigh.

Just as Hanni shut the bedroom door, Minji who had been resting, slowly opened her eyes. Feeling the blanket her wife had placed over her, her tired eyes softened, and she smiled faintly before closing them again.

After a deep sleep, Minji, now full of energy, woke Hanni up and eagerly took her wife out for another adventure this time, to the open sea. She had rented a boat the previous day, preparing for her second plan after a week of hard swimming lessons. Today was the day to put that plan into action.

"Are we there yet?" Hanni asked, watching Minji steer the boat out to sea for an hour, passing two or three islands without stopping.

"Almost there." Minji pointed toward the horizon. "Just up ahead."

"What's up ahead?" Hanni asked with curiosity.

"There's the most beautiful coral reef in this area," Minji replied.

"You're taking me to see coral reefs?" Hanni couldn't believe Minji had a romantic side.

Minji just smiled and didn't respond. Soon after, the boat stopped over the reef, and she changed into her diving suit. Seeing that Hanni hadn't changed yet, she said, "I'll go check it out first."
