In a dimly lit warehouse, Natasha
Romanoff leaned casually against a
metal crate, her expression completely
unfazed as the bad guy brandished a
gun, pointing it directly at her
"I'm gonna do it! I'm gonna shoot you!"
he shouted, trying to sound
intimidating
'Mhm," Natasha replied, unimpressed
The bad guy scowled, trying to regain
control of the situation. "I will!"
"Okay" she said, tilting her head
slightly, clearly amused
He gripped the gun tighter, his
frustration boiling over. "I mean it! I'I
shoot you!"
Natasha raised her eyebrows, clearly
enjoying the show. "Do you want me to
pull the trigger?"
Just then, out of nowhere, Steve Rogers
appeared, charging in from behind and
knocking the guy out cold with a swift
punch. The gun clattered to the floor as
the bad guy crumpled to the ground.
Nat!" Steve exclaimed, shaking his
head in disbelief as he turned to her.
"What were you doing?"
Natasha shrugged nonchalantly, a
smirk creeping onto her face. "Just
giving him a pep talk.
'A pep talk?" he replied incredulously
trying to suppress a laugh. "About
what? How to shoot someone who's not
scared?"
"Exactly!" she grinned, crossing her
arms. "I thought he could use the
practice. Did you see how tight he was
gripping that gun? He looked like he
was trying to strangle a kitten!"
Natasha shrugged, a grin plastered on her face. "Just engaging in some light conversation.
"Light conversation? He was holding a gun!" Steve replied, trying to suppress a laugh. "You realize most people try to run when a gun is pointed at them, right?"
Natasha rolled her eyes. "Steve, please This guy was so nervous, he looked like he was about to drop a sandwich instead of pulling the trigger.
Steve chuckled, running a hand through
his hair. "Next time, maybe let me
handle the bad guys, huh?"
"Where's the fun in that?" Natasha
quipped, stepping over the unconscious
body. "You know I love a good chat
before they go down. It's like my
version of small talk.'
Steve rolled his eyes but couldn't help
but smile. "You're impossible
"Yeah, but I'm still here, and he's not."
