I got up in the morning and joined Sam and Dean in the main room. We ate a little breakfast before continuing with the day. I gave Sam a little nod.
"Hey Dean, is it ok if Miranda and I go out for a little while? We just wanna hang out."
"Yeah. Have fun."
"Thanks Dean." I replied. Sam and I headed out to the bank.
"You sure I can take this much out at a time in cash?"
"Yeah. I think the point where they get suspicious is $5,000 or $10,000. If they ask why, just say we need to buy a ring."
"Ok. That should work." I said as I took my ring off and put it in a pocket in my purse. The teller would notice if I was wearing my ring. We pulled into the bank parking lot, parked, and went inside.
We walked up to the counter.
"I would like to make a withdrawal." I stated politely."Ok. Please swipe your bank card on the machine." She said. I swiped my card on the credit card-like machine. "How much would you like to withdraw?"
"$3,250."
"May I ask why so much?"
"My boyfriend and I are getting married and we need money for a ring. We already have it all picked out, we just don't have the money at hand."
"Aww. Congratulations." She said before giving us the money in a crisp envelope.
"Thank you." We said before walking out. We got back in the car and headed back to the bunker.
"You sure they aren't gonna get suspicious with me withdrawing that much?"
"You're fine. It's not like it's the scam accounts. Relax. We just gotta figure out where you're gonna put the money, and how I'm gonna distract him."
"I was just gonna sneak into his room and put it on his pillow with a note explaining what it is. What if you distracted him with research? Help him with what he's found, get him to explain everything, ask questions."
"That works, but where do I say you are when he asks?"
"Umm, I'm in the bathroom. I'll go to the one in the same hallway as Dean's room and make sure I flush before I come back out."
"Sounds like a plan." He replied. We got back to the bunker and walked in. Sam instantly went and started talking to Dean. They happened to be standing near the hallway where Dean's room was. I closed the bathroom door so it appeared I was in there, then headed to Dean's room.
I carefully opened the door to his room, walked in, and put the envelope on his pillow, and scribbled a quick note. 'Dean, don't fight me on this. Take this. I mean it. I still have some left, so don't worry about it. You need it more than me.' I placed the note on his pillow as well and started to head out. I was carefully shutting the door, when Dean's voice made me stop.
"What are you doing?" I rapidly turned around.
"Dean." I said.
"What were you doing in my room?"
"I-I was just-" I couldn't even explain. Dean looked so pissed. I backed up into the wall and he put one arm on each side of me on the wall.
"Don't you dare ever go in my room unless I tell you you can Miranda. I mean it." He said with anger and hatred present in his eyes. He removed his arms and I quickly walked back out to Sam as he went into his room.
"Sam. What happened to distracting him?"
"He got suspicious and you were taking a while. I couldn't stop him. He saw the door to his room open and went to see what you were up to."
"Well now he's pissed. Maybe it was a bad idea."
"It was a good idea. Once he sees what you did, I'm sure he'll be ok."
"Miranda?" Dean hollered from his room.
"You ok?" Sam asked as I got up.
"Yeah it's fine." I headed to Dean.
"What is this?" He asked, almost offended once I got to his room.
"Did you read the note?"
"Yeah. I told you not to though."
"I know you did, but Dean, it wasn't yours to pay. It's supposed to be up to Sam and I to pay for that ring. I still have a couple thousand dollars in my account. We have backup money for us. We can use the scams for the baby stuff and you need this money."
"Why do I need it?"
"In case you have any problems with the scams or you need some emergency cash. Look Dean, I appreciate you wanting to help Sam with the ring, but I don't want you paying for it. It's our cost to mess with."
"I can't take this Miranda."
"Please. Just take it. Please."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes Dean. It's fine. And I'm sorry I went in your room. I knew you for sure wouldn't take it if I just handed it to you."
"Thanks. And it's ok. I know why you did it now. I just don't like people going in my room. Especially since there's stuff we've been through we aren't comfortable sharing."
"I get it Dean. You sure you aren't mad?"
"No. I know why you did it."
"Good. Cause I don't ever want to see you as mad as when you caught me. You looked pissed and legitimately like you hated me. I was actually scared for a second that you were gonna hurt me."
"I'm sorry I acted like I hated you. I don't hate you. I won't ever hate you. And I won't ever hurt you either. I'm not mad, we're good."
"Good." I said before we joined Sam in the main room.
"Everything is good Sam. He took the money and he's not mad."
"Good." He said as I sat next to him and intertwined my fingers with his. We sat there and continued research.
