A/N warning, there's a part in here that will be inaccurate partly because it skips some major events from the show but also just because it's inaccurate, and I'm aware it makes a plot hole, but I can't figure out how to fix my plot hole at the moment, so I'm just gonna roll with it and you can deal with my failed attempt at making up a way to work it in. Lol. Like it skips a lot of major events like hell and such for now, but it's my story so I can use what I want. :) Happy reading.

We told Ethan what we were doing and he just told us to be safe. We headed out despite the clouds and the rain that started to fall in a drizzle, and started training

"So, what's first?" I asked.

"Let's teach you how to shoot first before it starts raining super hard." Dean replied. They pulled a couple guns out of a duffle bag and taught me how to shoot it. I sucked, but eventually, I started doing ok in my opinion.

"How did I do?" I asked about my shooting.

"It was ok." Sam said blankly. They were both coming across really stand-offish, and I wondered why. It continued like that for the rest of training. By the end of it, I'd had enough of their lack of emotion.

"Ok, what gives?"

"What?"

"Why are you guys acting like jerks and being so stand-offish?"

"What do you mean?"

"You aren't showing any emotion, I'm getting no feedback, all I'm getting is 'that was ok' and other simple answers to me asking how I'm doing. Am I that bad?"

"Look, we just need to show you the basics and be done with it. Ok? You aren't bad, there's just not much to say." Sam stated.

"I get that, but my point is, if you didn't want to teach me, because it's pretty obvious you don't, then you could have just said so." I stated, then stormed inside. Ugh. If they didn't want to teach me, then they should have just said no. They were really pissing me off. I heard a knock at my door after a bit. "What?!"

"It's Dean. Can I talk to you?"

"Fine."

"Hey. I'm sorry about him. He's just scared ok?"

"Why?"

"He's afraid if he teaches you how to hunt and you become somewhat decent at it, then you'll want to come on hunts with us. He doesn't want you to hunt with us because he doesn't want you to die."

"Then why didn't he just say no?"

"I don't know. Now, he's suddenly telling me he's not gonna teach you anymore, so I don't know what he's thinking."

"Why do you sound like you don't agree with him?"

"Because I don't." Dean stated. "I want you to be able to protect yourself, and your mom promised you and wasn't able to complete that promise. I don't want you going on hunts with us, but that doesn't mean you can't still learn."

"Really? Does that mean you'll teach me?"

"Yeah. I'll teach you as long as you promise me you won't try to get us to let you go with us on hunts."

"I promise. Is Sam still in a weird mood?"

"I think he's ok now so you can come out." I nodded and went to the main room with Dean.

"Sam, I know you don't want to, but I'm gonna teach Miranda. She's not gonna hunt with us at all. I'm just gonna teach her basics. I owe it to her."

"Fine. Do whatever you want." He said. He had a slightly angry edge, but it seemed more like he was annoyed but gave up on fighting Dean about it.

"Dean, can you give me and Sam a minute?" He nodded.
