8. Stop Messing With Me, GoD!

(A/N: time period is when Kayden disappeared from the room to see Cale)

The door softly creaked opened as Kayden walked inside and closed the door.

Cale lifted his head, he was about to go to sleep, "what is it?" Cale yawned.

'Is this guy seriously still thinking about sleeping?' Kayden walked closer to Cale, "you must've noticed that your transformation was being reversed."

'No shit!' Cale remembered. "So what's wrong with it?" He was talking about the reversal technique Kayden taught him.

"I'm not sure, let me check."

Cale nodded.

Kayden placed his paw on Cale's back, the same way as before. Kayden frowned.

'What is it?' Cale wondered.

Kayden seemed to be in a conflict. Was it something serious? His mouth opened to speak, "there's nothing wrong with my technique."

'Huh? So what is it then?!'

Kayden furrowed his brows, "something must be interfering with your transformation. Like someone doesn't want you to completely change back."

Cale slumped down into a bad posture, letting out a long sigh. It was obvious what he was thinking. It must've been God of Death's fault, like always, it had always been them anyways.

"Do you know who?" Kayden asked.

"Yes."

"Then who is it?"

"Can't say." Cale replied.

'He sure has a lot of things he can't say.' For some reason, this fact made Kayden upset. 'Is someone threatening him?' Kayden dismissed the idea. "You should hide your ears and tail, or stay in your cat form." He suggested.

Cale nodded, as he transformed back into a cat.

Kayden watched him. The more he observed him, the more he didn't seem like a cat. Yes he knew he was actually a human, but... he looked more like a fox...? Kayden flinched, 'what am I thinking!?' The thoughts dispersed into the air.

"Cale! They're gone!"

It was Jiwoo's voice.

Jiwoo opened the door. "Huh? You're back as a cat." Jiwoo casually picked him up.

Cale didn't complain. It was comfortable, and less consuming.

"Uhh..." Jiwoo grew anxious about how he should explain the situation.

Kayden walked outside, following behind them, "what is it?"

They all sat back down on the couch.

"So... you know the kid from eariler..?"

Jiwoo continued, explaining the situation and what happened.

"..."

"So you're saying you agreed to a fight, with that kid from Shinhwa?!" Kayden snapped, "do you even know what you're getting yourself into?! It's not just a kid from there! It's the chairwoman's younger brother!"

Jiwoo silently squealed, "I'm sorry!"

"You better be!"

"What's wrong with it?" Cale asked, completely clueless as always.

"Haaa..." Kayden sighed, he had to deal with two idiots in the world of cunning awakeners.

And so Kayden explained everything again.

"Awakeners who're associated with a group are specially trained all their life. The leader's brother is no exception, moreover, they must've received even more training than those regular members! There's no way you'll be able to get away safely!"

"What- what should I do?" Jiwoo panicked.

The cats, sensing his bad energy, cuddled around Jiwoo. "Meow~"

Kayden tsked, making a hasty decision, he declared, "I'll teach you!"

"Huh...?"

"I said I'll teach you how to improve your abilities!" Kayden repeated.

"You will?!" Jiwoo's expression lightened up.

"Of course, it's no big deal." Kayden's nose grew longer, and so did his grin, "I am the great Kayden Break after all! And I did promise to teach you about the world of awakeners, I keep promises!"

Jiwoo clapped, this time it was genuine.

"And while I'm at it, I'll teach you as well." Kayden pointed at Cale.

Cale was dumbfounded as he was from the beginning, what in the shit-show were they stirring up? And why was he involved! All he wanted was to slack!
