"Augh..." Cale groaned as he woke up, undisturbed. He rubbed his eyes. 'The kids.. where did they go?' Cale got up from the bed, heading towards the bathroom to get ready for the day. 'I don't really want to do anything today..' He groaned as he walked downstairs.
"Mr. Cale! You're awake!" Jiwoo enthusiastically greeted him.
"Dad!"
The three kids jumped with joy. They were each wearing a red new years costume, while Raon had a lion-dance costume.
Cale smiled. "Happy new years." He held out a few red envelopes, giving it to the three kids with his own two hands.
"Happy new years!"
The kids nodded as they took their envelopes equally.
Cale then walked towards Jiwoo. "Happy new years." He offered him two red envelopes.
"Thank you, mr. Cale, and happy new years to you too!" Jiwoo smiled as he politely took the offerings.
Raon danced around, with Ohn and Hong following him, showing off his costume with the lion's head.
"Happy new years." Eruhaben handed red envelopes to each of the kids separately. Then he turned to Cale. "Happy new years." Eruhaben handed Cale one as well.
"Me...?" Cale sweated. He didn't expect to receive one, especially one from the prideful ancient dragon.
"Aren't you unmarried?" Eruhaben asked.
Jiwoo slightly leaned into their conversation. 'That's right! Mr. Cale's not married yet.' He had almost forgotten.
'Receiving one at this age...' Cale felt a bit guilty. "Thank you.." He accepted the envelopes.
"We should get going now." Jiwoo suddenly spoke.
"Why?" Cale asked, confused.
"The others are at a reservation. We should met up with them sooner than later." Jiwoo smiled. "It'll be bad if we keep them waiting."
'Ahh.. so that's why those troublesome brats aren't here today.' Cale knew the peace wouldn't stay for long.
"I heard Jiyoung rented the entirety of a three Michelin star Chinese-style restaurant!" Jiwoo exclaimed.
"Ooo."
Ohn and Hong drooled.
"I wonder what the food will taste like..."
"Is it that good?" Raon asked. "I bet our chef's better!" He acted tough, not admitting defeat.
"Come on, youngest!" Hong pleaded. "You never know until you taste it."
"That's right! We can't be picky now!" Ohn joined in.
Beep
Beep!
"Oh, it looks like mr. Inhyuk's here to pick us up." Jiwoo looked towards the door.
The group headed outside.
"Jiwoo! Cale!" Inhyuk called out from the open car window. "I didn't expect you to be awake so early in the morning, Cale." He joked.
"Haha..." Cale enthusiastically laughed. 'I wouldn't be awake if it wasn't today.'
"Anyways, get in. The others have already arrived." Inhyuk put his focus on the road.
"Ah. Yes!" Jiwoo hurriedly got inside.
The others followed along.
Beep...
They arrived at their destination, in front of a very modern themed restaurant.
