"What?! No!?"
"Interesting." Kartein said, as he went over to sit down on the couch..
'He's not gonna ask...?' Kayden was a bit taken aback. He sat on the couch opposite to him.
Cale also sat down on the couch, turning back to a cat as he decided to take a nap.
"Did he teach you it?" Kartein then asked, pointing at the red cat.
"Huh..?" Kayden looked at Cale, then Kartein.
The gaze on Kartein's face looked serious.
"No... I taught him it." Kayden replied.
Kartein's eyes widened, 'he made it himself?! Even I couldn't think of any clue on how to!' "Is it just your appearance or are you one fully?" He seemed composed on the outside, but he was in a complete mess inside.
"Actually.. I feel like a cat as well." Kayden looked at his paw.
"..." Kartein had his head lowered, hands on gripping on his precious hair, 'he doesn't just look like one but is one as well?! How come he could transform into another life form but I can't?!'
'I thought he'd make fun of me... but he seems more devastated than I thought. I knew his mind was never clear, but I didn't think it was this bad!' Kayden commented.
"Kayden..."
'Huh..?' Kayden flinched.
"How about this, you teach me how to transform and I'll heal Jiwoo." Kayden lifted his head up, enough to glare through Kayden's head.
'Is he serious...?!'
Kayden stared at him.
'He's serious...'
Kayden sighed.
'He's sighing?!' Kartein noted. 'Shit!' He began to panic. "Fixing someone's core is unheard of! Even more so, it actually happening! But I can do it, however, it'll only take an unknown amount of days because of its uncertainty..!" Kartein tried bargaining.
Kayden smirked behind his back. "Fine..." He tried acting like he was at a loss.
'Got you!'
They both snickered quietly to each other, not knowing they were scheming behind one another's back.
"But there are two faults in my technique, since I did it in a hurry." Kayden warned Kartein, not wanting him to get accused of scamming.
"What is it?"
"It only works on cats and once you transform into one creature, you can't switch to another one."
"That's fine." Kartein agreed.
"Then I'll teach you after you fix Jiwoo's core."
Kartein nodded.
Next morning...
"Jiwoo, I heard Kartein showed up in your room." Jiyoung asked him, "is he going to heal you?"
