13. Kids These Days

'How was Cale able to heal Jiwoo?' Inhyuk thought.

He was sitting on the couch in the Shinhwa main building, by himself.

'His cat ears looked very soft, so did his tail.' Inhyuk hit the '-w-' face again. 'Maybe that's the power of a cat. After all, just touching their fur heals your heart!' Inhyuk looked up, "chairwoman!" He got up from the couch.

Jiyoung greeted him, then told him to come to his office.

"What is it?" Inhyuk asked.

"Jiwoo may be related to Kayden." She blurted out without warning.

Inhyuk's eyes widened, "what are you saying?!"

"There were traces of electricity in Jiwoo's final attack."

"Speed and on top of that.. electricity.... It's not common to have two abilities without proper training, but that doesn't mean it's impossible." Inhyuk tried reasoning with her.

"I'm sure of it." Jiyoung assured. "It was brief but I saw it."

Inhyuk looked at her, then sighed, "if that's what you say, chairwoman, but there's no solid proof yet."

Jiyoung nodded.

'It's peaceful now..' Cale thought. He was laying on the floor in his cat form, next to the sliding glass door where the sunlight went through. 'He better not be getting in trouble again.'

Ding dong!

The door bell rung.

'Is Jiwoo back? But he wouldn't ring the door bell.' Cale got up from the floor and approached the door.

The door swung open shortly.

"My little kitties!" Inhyuk rushed in with his arms out. He went towards the floor, hugging the cats that surrounded him. "I brought treats!" He pulled out multiple cat snacks and toys from his suit.

'Does he just have the keys to Jiwoo's house...?' Cale stood outside the crowd, dumbfounded.

"Oh?" Inhyuk looked at Cale. "I haven't seen you before."

Cale flinched.

"Are you new here?" Inhyuk asked, ripping open one of the snacks, "here." He offered.

Cale looked at it, then licked it.

Inhyuk smiled, melting in his cuteness. Then his attention shifted, 'he looks a lot like Cale... it's probably nothing.' Inhyuk let his theory drift. "Has Jiwoo not returned yet?" He asked himself. "Did something happen...?" His expression darkened, then he smiled, "I'll be back, my little cuties!" Inhyuk headed out the door.

Cale frowned, getting a bad sense of deja vu.

Tap.

"Huh?" Inhyuk looked back. "Do you want to come as well?" He softly smiled.

"Meow." Cale spoke.

"Alright, you're coming with me." Inhyuk bent down and pick him up.

Kayden walked in front of him as well.

"You want to come?" Inhyuk offered, not being able to resist a cat's request.

Inhyuk drove to Jiwoo's school.

"Huh?" Inhyuk looked out the window when he saw Jisuk and another kid there, along with a man. 'What's happening?' He thought as he stopped the car, parking it. Inhyuk opened the door, and exited, walking towards the scene.

Cale and Kayden also exited the car swiftly.

"Look who's here, Union member. What're you doing on Shinhwa territory without a proper report? Do you think you can get away with this?" Inhyuk belittled the adult in the group of kids, they seemed to know each other.

'Who're they?' Cale wondered.

"Goo Inhyuk." The man looked towards him without much emotion. "I know I'm on Yoo Jiyoung's territory, but you should know well that no one can interfere with the Union's actions." The man replied back calmly.

"That doesn't justify the fact you're on someone else's territory." Inhyuk became agitated, warning him, but let it go since they were in a civilian area. "And what are you doing, Jisuk?! Can't you stop causing trouble for just a moment?!"

"Why am I always the one being blamed! It wasn't me this time!" Jisuk refuted again, pointing at the other kid, "that kid started it!"

"That's right." The boy in front of him spoke.

"See!"

Inhyuk turned to the adult, "you should keep your members under control, Seongha."

"He's not a part of the Union, we're only monitoring him."

"Same thing." Inhyuk mocked.

"Can I not fight Yoo Jisuk?" The boy asked. "I have unfinished business with him." He glared at Jisuk.

'Why would you want to fight him?' Cale felt disgusted at the thought of willingly fighting someone. 'Do kids just want to fight each other now?! First it was Jiwoo, now it's this random kid!'

"Told you I wasn't the one who started it!" Jisuk backed up his claim.

Inhyuk sighed, "kids these days..." He turned to the boy, "what's your name, kid?"

"Wooin." The boy answered.
