Jiwoo sighed. "I guess I need to start buying more cat food." He looked at his almost empty stash. "Guys! I'm going to head to the pet store for food!" Jiwoo informed the others.
"Let me come with you." Cale stepped forward.
"Huh? I can go alone."
"Every time you go to get more cat food, you always end up in trouble." Cale frowned, upset.
"Haha..." Jiwoo awkwardly scratched the back of his neck. It was true, he couldn't deny it. "Alright.."
"Meeeoow~" Ohn and Hong looked into Cale's eyes, longing.
They couldn't speak in their current form, unless they wanted to be discovered.
"Sorry, I have to go." Cale told the cats.
"Meow.." They looked down, sad.
Cale swallowed his guilt.
The two headed outside.
The four unique cats were left with the two odd cats and the other normal ones.
"..."
There was silence. No "meows" or "nyas" being exchanged.
The kids and Eruhaben had already caught onto the fact that the fat orange cat and the skinny white cat were human beings, but they hadn't suspected them yet.
"Haa.." Kayden sighed. "Just why does Jiwoo need to adopt more cats." He whined, mumbling under his breath, "I already have enough with cleaning up those cats' poop."
'We're not Jiwoo's cats!' The kids all thought in unison, becoming hostile. 'We're dad's/human's cats!!'
Kayden got up from the couch, heading towards the basement. "I'm going to be training, don't let the cats inside and make sure to feed them on time."
Kartein groaned. "Alright."
"Goldie gramps, what should we do?" Raon asked. "Does human know they're not actually cats?"
"That kid probably does." Eruhaben frowned. "There's no way he wouldn't notice."
The four chatted amongst themselves quietly.
"What to doooo~" Ohn complained, "I'm boreddd!"
"Me too~" Hong agreed. "When will dad come back???"
Eruhaben sighed. "It hasn't been long since he left."
Raon's eyes lit up. "Why don't we turn into our human forms and find him?" He suggested.
"What will you do if you get lost in this unfamiliar environment? Cale will scold you." Eruhaben countered.
"Grampss~ you're no fun~" The two real cats whined, sulking. They pleaded with their big ol' watery eyes and cuteness.
'What're they doing?' Kartein thought, noticing the muffled crowd. 'They better not be causing trouble when they just got here. It's not even mealtime yet.' Kartein watched them carefully.
"Hey. That skinny cat is glaring at us." Raon noticed.
"He must be jealous because dad gives us more attention!" Hong raised his head high, proud of himself.
"That's right!" Ohn joined along.
Tap tap
'Huh?'
The four cats' gaze turned towards the approaching cat.
"Hey." Kartein spoke, gathering their attention.
They stared at him, wondering what it was.
"Don't act like you don't understand." His expression darkened. "You're not actually cats, are you." It wasn't a question, but a statement.
