18. Jiwoo has Been Kidnapped

"I'm going to check up on Jiwoo." Cale sat up from the couch.

He had been gone for far too long to just get cat food.

"I'll come as well." Kayden offered.

"No." Cale rejected.

"Why not?" Kayden asked.

'I'm not carrying a fat cat.' Cale thought inside his head. "It'll be faster with just me alone."

A vein appeared on Kayden's forehead, "are you calling me heavy?"

"No." 'Yes.' "I'm heading out now." Cale said as he left the house.

'Whatever, I'll just follow behind.' Kayden transformed into his human form, exiting the house as well, following Cale. 'It's been awhile since I was in my human form.' As much as he liked it, he didn't have time to admire himself.

Cale ran down the streets, using the Sound of the Wind. Thankfully, no one was there in the brink of night to see him. Cale flinched when he felt something unusual, 'what was that?' Cale stopped, looking towards the direction. 'I'll just check it out.' He thought.

'He felt that?' Kayden watched, continuing to follow him.

Cale arrived at the scene, nothing was there. 'Something feels off...' he thought. There were traces of a battle. Cale frowned, seeing the bag of cat food pouring onto the ground.

"Cale."

(A/N: I have no idea how the ancient powers act, nor how their powers work, which is why I don't write their dialogue... so I'll just write how I think they'll act based on their name.

Please stop complaining about my way of writing Cale's ancient powers. If you don't like it, write the story yourself! Very well targeted. I will not address this issue anymore.)

"I saw it. I saw it happen!"

'What?' Cale asked.

"That boy was kidnapped."

'Where did they go?' Cale stood there awkwardly, with a serious face.

'What's he doing?' Kayden wondered. 'I should go looked for Jiwoo.. but I can't leave him here alone.' Kayden furrowed his brows.

"Follow me, I'll show the way!"

The wind picked up, and Cale followed it.

'Where's he going?' Kayden followed him.

They reached a building, hidden between others.

"Here! It's here! I saw him go this way with the boy!"

'I know.' Cale replied to shut them up. He wanted to ask why they were so quiet recently, but there was no time. Cale walked forward, closer to the building. He looked up, there was no windows, only a door.

It seemed like a small storage by looks.

'I didn't think about this..' Cale sweated, standing in front of the building. He didn't think throughly how to approach the kidnappers, should he just storm in? Sneak in?

"I'll take it from here." Kayden landed in front of Cale.

Cale flinched, taking a step back, "who are you?"

Kayden froze. "I'm Kayden Break." He reintroduced himself.

'The.. fat cat...? How come he's so skinny in his human form.' Said the skinny one, Cale.

"Just get to someplace safe." Kayden warned him.

Cale nodded. He ran away, hiding behind the building next to it. 'Will this be okay...?' Cale wondered.
