39. Your Choice

"We won't be having class with the affiliated students...?"

"Yes..." Giwook nodded, ashamed of himself. He had gotten their hopes high for this, but in the end it never happened.

"Why..?" Jihye asked.

"We had unexpected guests. Classes will be dismissed until they leave." Inyuk answered.

'Is it those people from the World Awakened Academy?'

"When they leave, we'll be having class with the affiliated ones." Seongha added on to Inhyuk's words.

Inhyuk smiled. "So have a good rest for the time being."

"Yes, sir!"

They dispersed.

Seongha walked towards the students.

"What is it, mr. Seongha?"

The kids noticed him approaching.

Seongha wore a serious expression, more so than before. "Don't wander around the campus so much." He told them and then left without explanation.

"What does that mean?" Jihye asked.

They were puzzled.

Cale sighed. "I think it has something to do with the World Awakened Academy visitors." He explained.

"The.. World Awakened Academy...?"

Cale nodded. "I encountered one of their students while walking around."

"Are they nice?" Gangwoo asked.

Cale frowned, remembering their interaction. "Don't let their looks fool you."

"So that means they're two-faced bastards." Gangwoo concluded.

"But why would they do that?" Jihye asked, not yet getting used to the awakened world. "Awakeners are already hostile to others from different fractions."

"Obviously they're looking down on us." Jeongsu replied, with an unintentionally harsh tone. "They think they're all the shit because they think they have the world's support.. but they do..."

"Don't let it get to you. You'll all be affiliated one day, maybe even climbing the ranks." Cale left as he said that.

Jiwoo smiled. "Mr. Cale is very kind."

"Yeah!"

The kids cheered, wearing bright smiles.

"Subin? Jisuk?" Cale noticed them approaching as he left the room. "What're you doing here? Don't you have classes?"

"They were canceled." Subin spoke.

"Anyways, did you see those new kids?" Jisuk tsked. "They acted like they owned the place! Those little pricks dared to look at us with that expression..." Jisuk's face scrunched up into an unpleasant and enraged expression.

"Yeah! I hope they won't cause trouble, but I bet that's impossible for them." Subin crossed her arms. She was also pissed off.

"They just arrived, yet they already picked a fight with someone!"

"Huh? Who?" Cale asked, inquiring for more information. 'It's probably those World academy students. I only met one of them though.'

"Oh, right, you don't know about the World Awakened Academy yet." Subin realized. Then she explained, "they're an academy consisting of the strongest rookies across the world. They only accept the strong of the strong."

Jisuk nodded. "Going there even once gives anyone a strong background, that's why it's so difficult to get in. The headmaster of the academy is also a part of the global top 50 and from the prestigious awakened family Luterein."
