"I- I surrender! Please!" Jihye begged.
"Hmph." Hyeonga didn't stop. Her power continued to pull Jihye down.
'What..? Why isn't she stopping?!' Jiwoo looked towards the professors, 'why aren't they concluding the match?!' His heart sank, hearing Jihye's desperate cries.
Cale caught onto Jiwoo's thoughts. 'This is a match against another awakened, do you think it'll end so easily? This is practically a do or die situation.' He frowned. 'The referee only decided to end the match when the opponent was not able to fight anymore, but Jihye can still fight but she won't because she's consumed by fear.'
"Stop it! She said she surrenders!" Jiwoo suddenly shouted, interrupted the battle.
"What?" One of the professors became enraged, "what do you think you're doing?! Interrupting a match?! Is this how uneducated the unaffiliated awakeners are?!"
"I'm sorry." Giwook apologized on their behalf.
Jiwoo's light dimmed, 'what..? Why are you apologizing...?'
"I didn't teach the kids about the rules because I thought it'll be better for them to learn from experience." Giwook explained.
"How could you not teach them something so basic? Whatever, teach them it properly next time or else I won't stand such disrespect."
"Yes." Giwook understood.
Jiwoo watched, 'he's getting scolded because of me...'
Giwook turned to Jiwoo, "you shouldn't interfere with an official match in any way." He warned him, but it was more like a message of worry.
"Yes..." Jiwoo looked down, upset, biting his lips.
Sucheon tsked, "you think sparring with another awakened one is a joke? Do you think you can just resolve everything once you surrender?"
"..." Jiwoo furrowed his brows, staring down at the floor in shame.
"Since this has happened.. the winner is Park Hyeonga!"
"Tsk." Hyeonga walked off the stage, upset with the result. "I wanted to beat the crap outta her."
"Pft, you should've shut her mouth before she could speak." Inyong sided with her.
"Don't worry, I'll teach that brat Jiwoo his place." Sucheon glared at Jiwoo.
Hyeonga and Inyong grinned.
Jihye walked back to her line, ashamed and bruised.
"I'm sorry.. Jihye..." Jiwoo apologized.
"N- no..! It's fine.. you were only trying to help me." Jihye understood.
Jiwoo nodded in silence.
"Next! Lee Jeongsu, unaffiliated, and Ka Inyong of Baekdu!"
The two stepped forward.
Jeongsu sweated. 'There's a clear difference between his strength and mines.. I'll just focus on my performance..' He didn't seem confident, after all, his opponent was one of the people he stuck up to, to be able to be given a chance in a group.
"I'll go easy on you since our group brought you here." Inyong "reassured" him.
'I have to avoid his gravitational pressure.' Jeongsu fired up his power across his body.
