Chapter 29: Barbados!

Kai's POV
We arrived at Em dad's boat he owns. Em put her bags down in the deck looking around to see if she can find him. I inspected the boat nodding every now and then in agreement

"Emilia! Kai!" I heard Em's dad cheer I saw Em girl who looked around 20 behind her dad "this is my girlfriend Sapphire, Saph this is Emilia and her boyfriend Kai. Kai, Em, Sapphire" The blond girl waved. This is his girlfriend? She looks like she could be his daughter not his bloody girlfriend.

"Dad, a word" Em said going deeper into the boat dragging her dad by his wrist

"Hi" Sapphire smiled stepping on the boat

"Hi" I muttered sitting on the sofa

"Aren't you hot in those jeans?" I glanced at my long, blue ripped jeans shaking my head

"Nope."

"I'm only trying to make a civil conversation" she said sittibg next to me I quickly stood up goinb to one of our bags to distract myself "Why are you running away from me?"

"Look in case you're not aware. Emilia hasn't seen her dad in years; she grew up in a care home not allowed to see her dad. As she got older she believed that both her parents were dead but as soon as she knew about her dad she was scared to meet up with him because she was scared he didn't want to know her again. She only came on this holiday so she can get to know her dad better. But how can she if your here can she?" I said Sapphire apologised running off the boat down several streets just as Emilia cane out with her dad

"Where did Saph go?" Her dad asked

"She said she had an appointment or something and she just ran off" I lied

"Oh"

"Dad isn't it vest if it was just the three of us. After I did come here to know you" Em said looking at her dad

"Oh alright." Her dad smiled driving the boat out to sea.

Emilia's dad stopped the boat so we was far out from land so there was no way cameras from the paps could get us here. Em's dad came out with three fishing rods

"We need something to eat tonight don't we?" I smiled grabbing a rod standing at the side I put some bait in the end of my rod and threw it into the sea.
After a lot of fishing later we had enough fish. While Em's dad cooked dinner Em and I went to change into our swim stuff also to have small talk.

"You having fun?" I asked Em

"Yeah. Do you reckon we can go water skiing somepoint?" I shrugged at her question

"Probably ask Matt. I dunno" was my answer once we got change into one of many swimsuits, Em and I chilled in the deck with Matt, who was cooking some of the fish we caught

"Dad when can we go water skiing?" Em asked her dad

"I don't know love. I don't own a speed boat but I guess there's no harm in asking to hire or to have a day with instructors" Matt replied

"Okay" Em said lying on her back to get tanned, I did the same. I have a feeling Em will love her dad more.

Emilia's POV
I guess Kai was right about being here to know my dad more. Kai went off to answer a call from Jodie leaving my dad and I alone on the deck.

"Isn't it romantic at night?" Dad asked me

"Yeah, so calm too" I replied sipping my cider

"I love how you and Kai are back go get her again" Dad complemented making me blush

"Me too. I guess I still had a soft spot for him that's all" I smiled

"Let's hope it will last longer this time" Dad chuckled

"It will. He's stuck with me if he likes it or not" I teased just as Kai walked in to

"Oh talking about me are we?" My boyfriend smirked

"Yeah now stop butting in" I joked which my dad laughed at

"Fine" Kai said turning his back to me going towards the way he came

"She's pulling your leg" my dad laughed

"I know. See what I have to put up with Matt? Talking about me behind my back" Kai teased

"Hey! When have I ever spoken about you behind my back" I asked playfully

"Just now" I rolled my eyes

"See what I have to put up with?" I asked my dad

"Shame I thought you two were getting along just fine" My dad teased

"I dint know how I put up with it" Kai laughed as I gave him a glare.

We went for a little cruise around, my dad giving us a talk about things, before going back to the harbour where we tied up the boat. We all say inside with the fire lit getting to know my dad more.

"So what was life like at Elm Tree?" My dad asked

"It was a struggle. I got fostered at five but they gave me up after a year and eventually settled with my foster parents I have now when I was 10. And between all that I grew up knowing that Justine is a cow" my dad and Kai both laughed at my statement about Justine

"Don't forget you grew up into an outstanding, beautiful really talented young adult" Kai said with a smile

"That will soon change turning 21 this year" My dad laughed

"I feel old now you said that" I chuckled

"I remember being 20.. It was a long time ago but I remember it well" my dad yawned "night guys" Dad kissed my forehead before going into his room.

"Better get ourselves to bed too" Kai stretched I nodded yawning too following my boyfriend to the room I was sharing with him for the next two weeks.
