Chapter 16: A Single Release

Emilia's POV

I stretched myself across my bed feeling Kai's space empty I sat up looking at my phone looking at three unread texts I groaned reading each one

From Mike:

You thought anymore about your holiday with your dad? need to know ASAP xx

From Jamie:

Don't forget your interview with Paul O'Grady this afternoon oh can you remind the boys for me? ta

From Zoe:

Have fun today! Cant wait to live with you in less then two weeks! XDD

I put my phone down changing into a pair of grey skinny jeans, a blue long sleeve off-shoulder tee, a pair of black TOMS. I put Batman bat studs in my ears with a jigsaw puzzle piece necklace around my neck and a silver music note ring. I added light pink lipstick and tied my hair into a waterfall braid that fell into a normal plait at the back.

"Morning" Everyone said to me I smiled echoing their words grabbing some food from the fridge and a glass of orange juice.

"Please Don't Let Me Go is out today!" Kai smiled doing a celebratory dance

"Congrats!" Will and the rest of the boys smiled

"Oh Jamie texted me telling me to remind us about our interview with Paul O'Grady" I reminded them

"I bet about 2 million dollars that I would get congratulated about Mr Conor" Will said holding the boy in his arms kissing his forehead. I smiled drinking the rest of my drink

"Please Don't Let Me Go is about you" Kai said sitting next to me

"Oh really." I said turning around facing him

"Yes really" Kai laughed I smiled kissing my boyfriend "Do you wanna go public today?" He asked me I bit my lip lightly

"I don't know. I mean last time we went public it was a bit hectic because of the media, it was one of the many reasons why we split. Maybe not today" I explained

"Its fine I understand" I smiled hugging Kai

Around 2 o'clock we started to get ready to leave, Peter was putting in Conor's car seat in the now upgraded van, whilst everyone was grabbing essentials.

"We all ready?" Peter asked we nodded going into the van, we talked about how we managed to get to this place.

Kai's POV

Louise-my make up artist- was styling my hair into my normal quiff as I couldn't be bothered to style it myself this morning, I was up first then it was the boys and Em was last. I ate some carrot sticks that were on my dressing room table waiting for everyone to be miked up. I got miked up, said bye to Emilia going onto the set of Paul's show.

"Hi" I said sitting on the brown sofa next to Paul's desk

"Welcome to the show, this is your first interview with me as a solo artist!" The studio audience cheered and all I could do was sit and smile "We have your ex band and your ex girlfriend backstage. Is it awkward?" I laughed at his question

"No of course not, I'm really good friends with the boys and Emilia too so I guess not" I smiled if only you knew Paul. If only you knew. I added in my head

"You haven't really got your American accent anymore" Paul stated gasping

"I know! I noticed a few days back, I've been hanging around too many Brits lately. But to be honest I prefer Britain to America" I said making Paul pull a face
