Chapter 17: Elm Tree Visit

Kai's POV

My phone buzzed on the bedside table next to me; I rose my head reading the screen a message off Jodie. I groaned as my head flopped back on the pillow.

"Who's that?" Em asked tiredly

"Jodie sent me a picture of her scan" I muffled into the pillow

"Wait Jodie's pregnant again?" Em said

"Yeah, oh I forgot to tell you" I remembered

"It's fine" Em smiled turning on her side facing me I felt her hand trace my abs which felt nice somehow.

"We'd better get up" Em said looking at the clock

"It's only nine" I whined

"It's a three hour drive don't forget" I groaned walking into the bathroom for a shower. I changed into red chino shorts, a black star print t-shirt with white vans. I styled my hair into it's quiff picking up my phone and phone charger so I could charge it during the ride. I sat on my bed scrolling through my Twitter timeline waiting for Em to finish getting ready.

"You ready?" Em asked I nodded

"Have been for ages" I teased pocketing my phone

We got into Em's viper, which was still intact by the way, and I immediately plugged in my charger

"Jesus Kai, we haven't even set off, yet your charging your phone" Emilia teased

"Its on two per cent!" I stated a fact as Emilia drove off the drive.

We got onto the motorway with like another two hours left on the road and I was getting bored, I flicked through the radio stations hearing an recognisable song I stopped looking at Emilia

"What?" Em asked looking away from the road for a bit

"What do you mean what? It's my song!" I smiled turning the sound up singing along making Emilia laugh

We stopped at a service station to top up the car and refuel ourselves too. I chose a cheese and bacon pizza baguette with a hot chocolate while Em chose a chicken ceaser salad with a latte. We took them out going to buy magazines and sweets. We bought this magazine that had quizzes and fan girly stuff- and it had me in it too of course. We got back to the car eating our food listening to Radio One before setting off for the last hour or so.

"Hey do this quiz. It says which person should you date" I said to my girlfriend who laughed

"Alright hit me" She replied sipping her coffee

"Your crush bought you an item of clothing but you hated it would you: A) Say thanks then hide it in your wardrobe, B) Wouldn't take it saying you don't like people spending money on you, C) Tell him that you hate it or D) Accept it and only wear it when you're with him" I read out the options

"Erm probably A" Em said turning off the motorway. I asked her all the questions,

"You was mostly B which is Ashton Irwin from 5 Seconds of Summer" I said

"Maybe I'm doing something wrong" Em smirked looking at me

"No!" I glared playfully

After hours and hours on the road we finally got to Elm Tree House, we parked the car on the drive knocking on the door.

"EM!" Lilly hugged her she smiled hugging her back "Guys Emilia's here with Kai" Lilly shouted running indoors I followed my girlfriend inside and Mike's face brightened

"I heard you're going on holiday with Emilia and her dad" Gina said I nodded "It's good for her to have someone with her while she's with her dad. You never know what might happen."
