Part 7 - School Dictator

Chloe pov:

I'm sitting alone during supper with the rulebook in my hands. I hid in a corner in hopes Red wouldn't see me. I was skimming through the book re reading every rule in it. Why does it feel like I'm the only one who's being punished..... am I the only one who seriously has trouble following these new rules? I should be good at following these. Why is it such a problem? Either way, this is very bad. If I don't start following these rules perfectly, I will probably end up like my mom.... Red is right. What if I just avoid her? Then I can't get in trouble. Yeh, so just try to follow the rules and avoid her, I can do that. I quickly ate my food and went outside. Being outside always calms my nerves, I can see the sun getting close to setting. The sky is pink and orange. I found a bench and sat down facing the orange sky. Soon enough, my peaceful thoughts were interrupted by Red's sayings she's been throwing in my face since school started. Her voices just layered in my mind, making my head hurt. I then grunt before getting up and going to the dorm, I found Red asleep already. The covers only half covering her body almost falling off the bed. I got changed and went to my bed, but I couldn't fall asleep just yet. I was looking up at the ceiling, hoping I'd fall asleep. I then remembered the note Red left on my photo of my mom. My eyes grew wide as I imagine the queen finding it. I got up and grabbed it before hiding it in the washroom. I went back to bed and fell asleep quickly this time.

Red pov:

I woke up a little groggy to see Chloe already up and getting ready. I rubbed my eyes, adjusting to the bright light coming from the window.  She looked like she was in a hurry, but I wanted to tell her a thing or two before my mom showed up.

Red: Chloe.

She froze as she was heading for the door. She turns around to face me as I get out of bed and walk over to her.

Chloe: What is it your royal highness?

Red: Hmm, already starting off good following the most basic rule..... I had a few last words to tell you before the day starts since I doubt I'll be able to tell them otherwise.

I noticed her nervously standing there as she was holding her hands, rubbing them.

Red: There are 2 things you must know. 1. Being that my rules still stand. My commands still stand. If I find you breaking them, I will not be happy. If you tell the queen about these rules I've placed on you, I will also be angry. And 2. I expect you to follow the rulebook since I will no longer be defending you. You are now on your own. Mess up, and you'll get what's coming to you.

I then gestured the door, letting her go. She ran out of there real fast, but I didn't care. The less she's around me, the less annoying she is. I get dressed and leave my dorm. Once at the cafeteria, I then got my food and sat on my table. I know my mom will probably be here sooner than later. I decided to make a speech. I got up from my chair and saw the students go quiet, all facing me.

Red: The queen of Hearts will be arriving soon. She'll be much more present in the school. I expect you all to start following the rulebook given to each one of you and that my orders still stand. I better not see anyone break any rules, got it?

Everyone: Yes, your royal highness.

I then see my mom walk in. Everyone quickly turned to her and bowed even Chloe.

QoH: That's a good speech there. Red, enforcing the rules is very important when you're in charge.

My mother then walks closer to my table. I'm taking a good look at my outfit.

QoH: Red? Where is your tazer and whip?

Red: I didn't want to carry them everywhere, so I left them in my room.
