Part 16 - Red Takes Over

Red pov:

My mom was on the ground unconscious. I tried to wake her up. I nudged her, but she wouldn't wake up. Soon, I see Chloe run out.

Chloe: What happened?

Red: I hit her with my lightning, and now she's not responding.

I started to panic as I sat beside not knowing what to do. I got so mad at myself for doing something so stupid that I then threw a card across the courtyard, and a whole ambulance and medical crew poofed from the card. I shot myself up as Chloe stood beside me. I look down at the deck of cards in my hands.

Chloe: woah, you just made a whole ambulance appear.

Red: I didn't know I could do that.

The medical crew then rushed and got my mom on the bed. I then hopper on the ambulance.

Chloe: Let me come with you.

Red: You don't have to Chloe.

Chloe: I want to.

She extends her hand, and I grab it, helping her up before the door closes. The sirens went off, and the truck started to move. There was a bench me and Chloe sat on while the truck was racing to the hospital. I kept looking at my mom as the medics checked her vitals. Once at the hospital, we were told to wait in the waiting room as they rushed my mom in. We said down and waited for an hour before the doctor came out. I stood up as the doctor came in.

Doctor: Good news your mother is now steady and alive..... bad news she's currently I'm a deep coma, and we don't know when she'll wake up.

Red: Can I see her?

Doctor: Of course, right this way.

The doctor then led us to the room. My mom was being held with all these machines hooked onto her. I put my hands on the rail as I leaned over to see her.

Red: I'm sorry for striking you with lightning mom, I know you probably can't hear me right now, but I wanted to tell you.... I love you.

A tear then fell from my eye. I then wipe it off my face with my middle finger and turn back to Chloe.

Red: Well, now, with my mom out of commission, I have full veto power over Auradon til she wakes up. Let's go back to school. She needs to rest now.

We then head back to the dorm. I go directly to the principals office. I knock on the door, and Uma lets me in.

Uma: What can I help you with?

Red: I need 2 things. 1. Make an announcement in the intercom. 2. I need to know where Mal is. 

She then hands me the mic to the intercom. I took a deep breath before speaking into the mic.

Red: Attention all students. Mandatory assembly at the auditorium immediately. Please make your way there now. Thank you.

I hand over the mic again.

Red: I'll come back later for the whole Mal situation.

I then leave as Chloe followed behind. I then went to the auditorium as I waited for all the students to arrive. After 15 minutes, everyone has settled down. I walked to the stage where the mix was located.

Red: Thank you all for coming. I have a few important announcements to make. I would like to start by stating that the queen is currently in the hospital, and it is currently in a coma until further notice. She gave me this piece of paper in case something like that would happen and told me to read it out loud. It says, "In the case something has happened to the queen, the princess will take over the position as ruler and will be granted veto power over the nation until the queen is back again." So, with that said, I'll be in charge until my mom wakes up. There will be a few changes that will be made, but that will be posted later. Thank you again for attending.
