I started to get a little light headed and then I got confused. It hasn't been long enough to get engaged, and I'm a little young for that. I want to do things with my life before I settle and get married. Sure I want to stay with Logan and hopefully marry him one day... just not right now. He smiled at me. Damn, him and that smile.
"Don't worry. I'm not proposing." He said with a small laugh. "I'm not crazy." I joined in and laughed too.
"Thank god, babe. You scared the shit out of me, you know." I sighed. Then I thought, why does he have a ring in a small box?
"It's a promise ring. You know I want to spend- hopefully- the rest of my life with you. But I wanted to make sure that you wanted the same thing. This would just be something to seal the deal. I mean, we have gotten pretty serious over the past few months and I'm happier than ever." He reached for my hand and held it in his.
I smiled and looked in his eyes. "You're crazy." He looked at me with some concern in his eyes. "Of course. I want the same thing as you."
"I guess that means we both are crazy." He replied.
"I guess so." He let go of my hand and slid the silver band over my finger. I could feel something engraved on the inside when he slipped it on, but I didn't care to look. I was more focused on kissing him right now. Something I've wanted to do for the past hour or so. I leaned over the table and we connected lips slowly. We parted for a moment and his tongue slipped over mine. The kiss became deeper and soon enough I found myself sitting in his lap. One of his hands wrapped around my waist and the other settled on my thigh, gripping it protectively. I ran my fingers through his hair and tugged lightly. Then a buzzing sound came from the table and we stopped.
"I- I should get that." I said, before kissing his lips softly. I tried to get off of his lap but he pressed my thighs down before I could.
"I got it." HE said, reaching behind me and picking up my phone. He handed it to me and I answered.
"Hey, mom. Y-yeah we're doing great. Mhm." I smiled at Logan, who was looking up at me and kept his hands on my thighs, rubbing up and down slowly.
"We just had dinner and we're probably going back home after." I said into the phone. My mother could talk for ages, when all I wanted to do was continue what was going on with Logan. He kept rubbing my thighs, and smiled softly when I looked down at him. "Mhmm. Okay, I'll call you tomorrow. Bye." I say into the phone before hanging up. "Logan."
"What, babe? Let's get home." He says without even waiting for a response from me. His long arms were under my legs and he was carrying me to the car, making sure to grab my bag before leaving the table.
"But what about the mess." I state.
"It's alright. I have that taken care of." He says before setting me down on the passenger side of the car and opening the door. He kisses my lips passionately before closing the door behind me. The ride back to his place was quiet and he was driving quicker than usual. We both were in a rush to get back, and I think tonight was the night. I've never been one of those people who save themselves for marriage, but I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't give myself up to anyone unless they were the one. I'm pretty sure Logan is. I know he wouldn't pressure me into doing anything I didn't want to do either. We passed a huge group of cop cars on the side of the busy road, but I didn't pay too much attention. I just wondered what could have happened that they needed that many cops.
Once we got back to the apartment, I was pinned against the wall immediately. One of his hands pressed on the wall behind me, and the other wrapped around my waist. My hands were wrapped around him, pulling him closer. I turned us around, pressing his back to the wall and taking control. Our bodies were moving in perfect rhythm as well as our breathing. He picked me up and carried me into his bedroom, laying me on the bed. Our lips were still connected and it felt as if every nerve in my body was tingling. His touch was so gentle but it made everything feel so different- like nothing I've felt before. I tugged on the hem of his shirt, signaling him to take it off. Soon enough we both we pulled away from each others touch and he looked down at me.
"Are you sure, Hope? I don't want to make you do anything you don't want to."
"I'm sure." And with that, his lips were on mine again
I woke up under the white sheets from Logan's snoring. I turned around and faced him. He didn't sound like he was going to wake up anytime soon, so I got up out of the bed as quietly as I could. His snores were still filling up the room and I couldn't help but laugh a little. After seeing one oh his big t-shirts on a chair in the corner, I decided to grab it and slip it on- as well as a clean pair of underwear from my suitcase. Making breakfast seemed like a great idea as my stomach growled so I went into the kitchen and searched through his fridge and pantry. The guy really didn't have much food, so I made some eggs and an easy recipe for crepes. I also didn't feel like coffee right now so I boiled some hot water and searched for some hot chocolate mix somewhere in the pantry. Conveniently, there was some- just way up on the top shelf. I grabbed the small black foot stool and reached up, still not tall enough to get it, but another hand grabbed it.
"Got it." He said before placing the box on the counter and placing his hands my waist. "Morning, beautiful."
I step down and put my arms on his shoulder. "Morning."
After a light kiss, he turned around and saw the food. "How did you make these?" He asked pointing at the crepes. "I didn't know I had the ingredients for these."
"Flour, eggs, and milk." I smiled and turned to make the hot chocolate.
"Ohhh, okay." He filled two plates up evenly with the eggs and crepes, getting some fresh fruit and powdered sugar to put in the crepes. I stirred the hot chocolate mixture into the hot water and poured it into the two mugs before bringing them to the table. He laughed when I set them down.
"What?"
"You always drink hot chocolate." He laughed again as I sat down.
"Hm, I don't see that as a bad thing, do you?" I asked while eating a forkful of my scrambled eggs.
"Not at all. That's how we met wasn't it? Over hot chocolate." He said.
"Actually yeah." I smiled. We did meet because of hot chocolate. I smiled and looked down at the ring on my finger. I guess one of us turned on the TV at some point because I heard the news in the background. Something about an accident. I got up and walked into the living room and saw some footage from the accident we drove by last night. Logan walked in and stood next to me.
"We have some information about the accident. Actress Lily Collins was involved in a car crash while being under the influence. There were also drugs found in her possession." The news anchor said.
"It's such a shame to see young Hollywood starts make poor choices like this." The other anchor said.
"I know." The man said. "Now lets get back to Robyn with the weather."
Both Logan and I just stood there and exchanged a look. "Wow." He said.
"Wow is the perfect word. Gosh, I wonder how all of that happened." I said, worried.
"Hey, don't worry about it. Let's enjoy the rest of our trip." He pressed a kiss to my forehead and we both went back to eating our breakfast.
