"Oh, mom this is Logan. We met each other at Starbucks earlier this week." I flicked my wet hair out of my face.
"Hi Logan." She smiled as she reached to shake his hand. "I'm Olivia, Hope's mother. It's nice to meet you."
"It's an honor to meet you Mrs. Windsor." Logan shook my moms hand and smiled.
"How about you both go change. Hope's older brothers at college but you can go and borrow some of his clothes." She said as he handed both of us towels. I dried my hair and then walked up the stairs, Logan following.
"So this is my room, and that's Daniel's room. You can grab whatever you want he won't notice." I giggled and logan smiled. "The bathroom is right down the hall if you need to use it." I said as I shut my door.
I dried off and combed my hair. I put mascara on and changed into my yoga pants and tank top. I opened up the door and called down the hall,
"Meet me downstairs logan. I'm gonna be in the kitchen. I'm starving." I quickly ran downstairs and looked in the fridge. Lightning struck outside and the lights flickered for a second. I listened closely to the TV in the living room saying there's a huge storm coming and to stay inside.
"Hope?" My mom asked from the living room.
"Yeah, mom?" I replied.
"There's a horrible storm coming. It'll last all evening. I think your friend should stay over until it blows over the city. It's dangerous driving in that weather."
"Okay, I'll go tell him." I said and started up the stairs. When I reached the top I hit something. "Oof." I mumbled before I looked up.
"Sorry! I wasn't looking." Said logan. His hair was still damp and he was wearing some of Daniel's clothes.
"It's fine! Anyways, there's a huge storm coming and my mom suggested you stay over until it goes away." I smiled.
"Yeah sure. Let me go call my mom." He said as he took his phone out of his pocket.
"Hey mom. The storm is going to be really bad and my friend Hope asked me if I wasted to stay over until it goes away." He nodded. "Okay thanks. I'll see you later. Love you." He said as he hung up.
"Great! I'm gonna go downstairs and continue making some food if you don't mind. I'm starved." I said and started down the stairs. Logan followed and sat at one of the stools at the high counter in the kitchen. I opened up the fridge and took out all of the fruit we had- strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and then grabbed a banana from the pantry.
"Do you like smoothies?" I asked.
"Yeah." Logan replied.
"Okay I'll make some." I said and continued chopping up the fruit. I added them to the blender and dropped yogurt and ice in. While blending it I noticed logan was staring at me.
"What?" I asked, smiling.
"Nothing. Sorry." He ran his hand through his hair and did that cute little grin he always does.
I finished blending the smoothie and poured it into two cups. After adding straws I slid one over to logan across the counter.
"Cheers." I said raising my glass.
"Cheers." he said, when smiling. When our glasses clinked, lightning struck outside, startling us. We both took large sips of our cups in sync.
"Mmmm. This is good." He said raising his eyebrows.
"Thanks I think it's the best one I've made so far." I smiled, taking another sip. "So what do you want to do?" I asked.
"I don't know. There's not much since this storm is here." He looked out the window and frowned.
"Hmm... We could play a board game, finish our questions game... The TV already stopped working from the storm... So not that. Umm what else?" I asked slightly frustrated.
"We could finish our 'date'. Here. We can just have smoothies instead." He suggested.
"Best idea Ive heard all day! Let's do it." I smiled.
"Yes!" He fist pumped the air and laughed."
I laughed and said. "We could do it in the loft upstairs. There's couches and a table." He nodded his head and followed me up the stairs. We sat down on couches opposite of each other. He smiled.
"So... What do we do now?"he asked. We both laughed and it soon dulled down. I looked at him and shrugged my shoulders.
