*Grace's POV*

The Hall of Records was an imposing structure, its ancient stone walls echoing with the whispers of countless histories. As my father led us deeper into its labyrinth of corridors, the air grew cooler and more still. I could feel the weight of the past pressing around us, an intense reminder of our search's significance.

Beside me, Xavia's presence was a constant comfort, her warmth a reassuring contrast to the cold stone, though it was utterly gorgeous. She leaned her head on my shoulder, and I heard her let out a quiet sigh. It was a sound that made my heart ache with both love and concern. Her fingers intertwined with mine, and I felt the subtle tremor in her grip. I glanced at her, my heart tightening at the anxiety etched on her beautiful face.

"Love, you doing okay?" I asked her silently, my thoughts reaching out to hers.

She hesitated momentarily before replying, her voice tinged with worry as she said, "I have this gut feeling that we will soon learn more about my mom, and... I'm... I'm worried about how I might react and respond to the information... You know I don't have the best emotional track record."

I squeezed her hand gently and kissed her cheek softly before saying, "No matter what happens, I will be right by your side, okay? You won't lose control because I won't let it happen. I've got you, sweetheart. I always will."

She turned to me, her eyes glistening with evident gratitude.

"Thank you, Grace. You're really amazing, and I'm not just saying that because we were destined to be together... it's the truth. I'm honored you love and accept me, even with my flaws and random doubts I might have about things. You make me feel like I matter, and I never want to let you down." My mate responded through our mind link.

I smiled, my heart swelling with love for her, as I said, "You're too stubborn to let me down, silly. And don't worry—I totally see wedding bells and children in our future."

Her eyes widened with curiosity and excitement, "Did you have a vision?"

The happiness in her voice was so unmistakable that it made my smile turn into a full-on grin as I explained, "I had one about our union when you brought it up, but nothing about a child. Either way, no vision is necessary; my heart knows what it wants, and you, my love, are integral to that future I so dearly want. We will make it so when we are ready."

Xavia nodded, her expression softening with love, "I love the way you think."

"And I, you, love," I happily replied.

We soon reached the building that God had been leading us to. Its exterior was an imposing structure of shimmering light and ethereal architecture that seemed to pulse with a life of its own. The closer we got, the more I could feel the energy radiating from it, a powerful aura of knowledge and history. As we entered, the grand hall inside was lined with countless scrolls and books, each containing the secrets and prophecies of past ages.

My father led us through the halls, explaining the place's importance. As we walked, I noticed an odd building tucked away in a corner of the celestial landscape.

Intrigued, I asked my father, "What is that building?"

"That," God said with a gentle smile, "is where my research angels search for prophecies and decipher them. Before Xavia's mother, there were ways that the past oracles would use magic to transfer ancient language into text, and that's when we had to train angels to decipher the text. Come, let me show you around more."

We followed my father to the building. Inside, the atmosphere was different—more focused, filled with a quiet intensity. Angels were bent over ancient texts, their eyes glowing with divine light as they worked to unravel the mysteries of the universe. As we walked through, I caught sight of an angel that looked familiar to me. My heart skipped a beat as I remembered him.
