*Grace's POV*

As we waited for the weapons to be finished, I thought about furthering my bond with my beautiful Nephalem. The excitement and nervousness I felt for what I wanted to do reverberated throughout my entire being. It was the perfect time for me to look up a few things in the Hall of Records—something special and secret—a surprise for my mate. The thought of her reaction made my heart race with anticipation, and with that in mind, I knew I needed to calm myself.

Xavia was tied to me, and I, her.

If my heart beats faster, she will sense it and wonder what's happening, so I need to keep my cool to make this plan work.

I leaned over and gently kissed her cheek, savoring the warmth and softness of her skin against my lips. "I think my father has something he wants to say to me." I whispered, my voice filled with affection, "I'll be right back, love."

Xavia's eyes softened as she reached out, her fingers lightly brushing my chin. She tenderly tilted my face towards hers, pulling me into a short, soft kiss that sent a warm shiver through my body.

"Of course, baby," she murmured against my lips, her voice a sweet hymn that lingered in my ears.

Reluctantly, I pulled away and walked over to stand next to my dad. The connection we shared was deeper than words, and it was no surprise when his voice echoed in my mind, "You and your mate aren't the only ones who can speak telepathically. What's going on in your mind, my child?"

A blush crept up my cheeks as I hesitated momentarily, gathering the courage to share my plan. "I want to look up some stuff in the Hall of Records," I confessed, the excitement bubbling up inside me. "It's a surprise for Xavia and for me, too. We will both benefit, and I would like it if you and Aubrey could keep her busy. I'm sure there's something you two could talk about, but please... don't scare her."

A gentle smile tugged at the corners of my dad's lips, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

"I don't think I could if I tried," He replied.

His voice was warm and reassuring, and I couldn't help but laugh at His response—the sound was light and full of affection.

"You're probably right," I agreed, easing the tension in my shoulders. My dad always had a way of making everything seem possible, no matter how daunting the task.

His expression turned thoughtful as he asked, "Would you like the ability to speak to Aubrey telepathically, too?"

Surprised, I looked up at him with wide eyes, "You could do that? What about for Xavia?"

He nodded, a serene smile on His face.

Closing His eyes briefly, He raised His hand and gently placed it on my head. I felt a warm, tingling sensation spread through me, a gentle hum of power that seemed to resonate with my very soul.

"Since you two are mates and share my blood and power, you have the ability to make that happen," He explained, His voice filled with a quiet strength, "There's so much that I want to teach you, Grace, and after everything calms down, I would love to do just that."

My heart swelled with affection, our bond deepening with each word, "I would love that, too, Dad," I said softly.

The sincerity in my voice was unmistakable.

We embraced, and for a moment, the world around us faded away. It was just the two of us, father and daughter, sharing a moment of connection that went beyond words. I could feel the eyes of everyone around us, their gazes drawn to the tenderness of our hug, but it didn't matter.
