*Xavia's POV*

I awoke feeling deeply content, nestled in the warmth and security of Grace's embrace. The morning light filtered gently through the curtains, casting a soft glow over the entire room. As I turned my head, I saw Grace sleeping peacefully beside me. Her presence was a source of endless joy to my soul, and nothing would ever change that for me.

With a tender smile, I whispered, "I love you, baby."

Grace stirred, her eyes fluttering open.

She snuggled closer to me, a soft sigh escaping her lips. Her warm breath on my skin made me smile even more. I loved watching her sleep, her serene face framed by her beautiful tousled hair. In these quiet moments, I felt the depth of our bond more than ever. Her body—her soul always responded to me.

A blinding light erupted around us as I was about to pull Grace into a deeper embrace. My heart sank as the realization hit me... we were being summoned, and we were still in our most intimate state—stark naked. Panic surged through me as I tried to move, to find something to cover us, but it was useless. The light was consuming and relentless; I was paralyzed by dreading what was coming next.

I was terrified.

My mind raced, imagining the worst.

Grace's father was going to see us like this, and I couldn't help but worry that He might be furious—maybe even decide to smite me on the spot.

The thought made my blood run cold.

My frustration was evident and apparent, a clashing storm of confusion swirling inside me.

Fuck!!

Why now, of all times?

I mentally reached out to Raziel as I fought to get my bearings.

"Raz, are you being summoned to Heaven, too?" I asked, my voice filled with nothing but hope and desperation.

He replied quickly and reassuringly, "Yeah, Aubrey is coming, too."

"Please, Raz, I need a favor," I implored. "Grace and I are... not decent. Can you please shift into your dragon form and shield us from view? I'll do what I can, but this situation is insane. Couldn't He have waited for us to get dressed first?"

Raziel chuckled softly, replying, "Of course, I'll help. Don't worry. The light should only be bright for at least thirty seconds. We might have a moment to cover up."

"Thank you so much, Razy," I said, relieved.

As the light faded, Raziel transformed into his massive dragon form. I didn't have time to see it, but I felt my friend's shift. His scaly wings stretched out protectively, enveloping Grace and me. I did my best to hide what I could with my own wings, but... I knew it wasn't perfect as my bare ass was still out for the world to see. Grace was shielded, but knowing her bare body was exposed, my irritation grew at the thought of anyone seeing her like this.

Amidst the chaos, Aubrey's laughter broke through the tension, her voice full of amusement, "Mates. What else can we expect, amirite?"

I sighed mentally at the situation, though her words made me slightly smile. I caught sight of Aubrey's mother standing with God; her reaction was unexpected yet somehow fitting. God chuckled, and I was momentarily relieved that I wasn't in trouble for this rather inappropriate indiscretion.

Then Aubrey said, "Mom and I will find you something to wear."

The sound of their footsteps receded, but then another set of hurried steps approached us. It seemed that someone else was coming, and their presence was unsettling me.
