Kiyo's Dilemma! (Part 4)

The Host Club had successfully arranged a charity gala in just two days. During that time, Kiyo and Kichiro had gotten to know each other better. Their engagement preparations had also progressed, with the venue chosen by their parents and the other details decided by the soon-to-be couple—under their parents' supervision.

The snow haired girl insisted on white lilies for the flowers, while her mother argued for adding red roses. Kiyo compromised, deciding her bouquet would consist of only white lilies, while the reception could feature both.

Thankfully, her mother agreed, rather reluctantly.

It was then one of the maids came over. "Lady Kazue, you have a letter."

Kiyo's mother beckoned her over. When the maid came closer, the woman took the letter and opened it, beginning to read it.

The snow haired beauty was curious, she recognized the seal on the letter. It was from the Host Club. "Kiyo."

She blinked. "Yes, mother?" Beside Kiyo sat Kichiro, they were going over the menu for the wedding dinner.

"Your club has invited me as a special guest to this.. charity gala they're hosting." Kiyo's eyes widened, her hand clutching the hem of her red dress. The raven haired boy noticed, raising an eyebrow at her expression, but said nothing.

Since her mother had taken her phone to encourage focus on her fiancé, the Hirano girl hadn't known about the invitation. "I didn't know you were in the same club as Kyoya." The matriarch looked at her daughter, curious.

"Who else are you club mates with?"

The golden eyed girl replied immediately, "Tamaki Suoh, the son of the Chairman in Ouran. Hikaru and Kaoru, my cousins. Takashi Morinozuka from the Morinozuka family. Mitsukuni Haninozuka from the Haninozuka family."

Kiyo paused then added, "We also recently welcomed a commoner to our club—a scholarship student, Mother." Kazue hummed, giving the letter back to the maid.

"What is their name?"

"Haruhi Fujioka."

"I see.."

Her mother sighed. "Well, I suppose we could go. I've kept you from school long enough, and the wedding preparations are nearly complete. I'd also like to see how your club works."

Kiyo felt a surge of relief and almost wanted to cry. "Yes, Mother."

Kyoya sure knows when the time is right, her mother was in a very good mood.

---

The sound of violins echoed throughout the ballroom as guests—students of Ouran and their parents—mingled. The Host Club was in their element, moving through the crowd and charming the attendees.

Kyoya remained near the entrance, awaiting the arrival of the Hirano matriarch. His sharp gaze flickered toward Kiyo and Mitsukuni. Kiyo had arrived at the school early, picking up Haruhi on the way, to meet with the club before the event.

"Kiyo-senpai, I'm so glad I got to see you." Haruhi smiled in relief. Her upperclassman doing the same moving closer to the brunette. "I've missed you, Haru-chan." Kiyo leaned her head on the first year's shoulder.

Haruhi rested her head on Kiyo's, relaxing. "I missed you too, Kiyo-senpai." A small moment of silence passed by them before the snow haired girl broke it.

She lightly patted Haruhi's hand asking, "How is everyone?" They kept their position as the chocolate eyed girl told her everything, including the plan the host club made, but excluding the part about Mitsukuni's feelings towards Kiyo.
