Author POV

In an unknown basement, not the usual one, Mr. Kavin stood before Rafael, his expression serious. "Sir, we've confirmed it. Richard Clarke is in a hotel on GH Road, room number 207."

Rafael removing his contact lens from his eyes, showing his real eye color, his emerald eyes darkened at the news. He had just found out that Richard had attempted to misbehave with Amelia. His blood boiled, and without wasting another second, he rushed back, determined to deal with the man himself.

Meanwhile, Kavin continued monitoring the situation. They had also received intel that Edward had already filed a case against Richard, but the man was currently out on bail. Rafael, however, was not one to rely on legal measures alone.

"I'll handle this personally," Rafael said, slipping on a white face mask. He handed over the communication access to Kavin. "Keep an ear on everything. If anything feels off, let me know immediately."

Kavin nodded sat on the desk. Rafael rushed out of the basement, while Kavin was going through the recordings of the transmitter they fitted on the pin. As he listened to the recordings, his eyes widened. His grip on the device tightened because... this is a trap

Room 207

Richard stood in the hotel bathroom, splashing cold water on his face. A smirk tugged at his lips as he stared at himself in the mirror. "They say the Davies family doesn't let their enemies off easily... I guess that was just a rumor," he scoffed.

A knock sounded at the door.

"Room service, sir."

Richard barely glanced toward the entrance as he opened the door, letting the staff member in. "Clean everything quickly and get out," he ordered, turning back toward the sink.

But the man in the uniform didn't start cleaning. Instead he locked the door, he took a seat on the couch, one leg crossed over the other.

Richard frowned. "What the hell are you doing?"

The man slowly removed his cap, revealing striking emerald-green eyes. Then, without warning, he kicked the couch with such force that it toppled over, sending Richard sprawling onto the floor.

Before Richard could react, Rafael was on him, landing a sharp blow to his jaw. "You think you can get away with what you did to her?!!!" Rafael growled, his voice filled with menace. "I don't care about your connections, I don't care about your bail-trash like you needs to be dealt with immediately."

Richard struggled, attempting to fight back, but Rafael was faster. His punches were precise, fueled by pure rage. Just as he was about to land another hit-

BANG!

The door burst open, and before either man could react, Mr. Abbott stormed in.

Richard froze while Rafael in instinct covered his face more properly with the white mask.

Rafael cursed under his breath. He hadn't anticipated Abbott's arrival.

Acting fast, Rafael shoved Richard aside and bolted for the window, kicking it open. Abbott was immediately on his tail.

"Stop right there!" Abbott ordered, chasing him down.

Edward's men swarmed into the hotel room, grabbing Richard as Rafael sprinted through the narrow alleyways outside. He was fast-dangerously fast-but Abbott was relentless.

Desperate, Rafael tossed a tear gas canister behind him, attempting to create a diversion. However, Abbott anticipated the move, quickly covering his face and pushing forward.
