Metalhead Rewired: Part 2

Alyssa's POV:

Back at the lair, Donnie gets to work fixing Metalhead.

Donnie: "Metalhead's memory core isn't too badly damaged."

Mikey fiddles with Metalhead's mouth until Donnie swats his hand away.

Donnie: "Stop it, Mikey! It seems that the Kraang security algorithms were too complex to decrypt."

Raph: "Less science-y, more English-y."

As he talks, Donnie repeatedly stops Mikey's hand from further messing with Metalhead.

Donnie: "I should be able to retrieve what he downloaded from the Kraang computer. Mikey!"

Mikey succeeds in poking Metalhead, but Metalhead short-circuits and pokes him back.

Mikey: "Ow!"

As Donnie has his back turned while lowering Metalhead's arm, Mikey shakes his rear in Metalhead's face.

Donnie: "He might take a little time to fix, though."

Leo: "How long?"

Donnie: "Well, in technical terms..."

Metalhea'ds arms suddenly detach and fly around the lab.

Donnie: "A while."

Leo & Donnie duck to avoid one of Metalhead's hands, leaving Mikey to catch one hand and be tackled from behind by the other.

{Time skip}

After a quick meditation session to help pass the time, I walk out of the dojo as one of Metalhead's arms flies out of the lab, and Raph kicks it to the ground.

Raph: "We know the Kraang rebuilt TCRI. What if they get the portal working again?"

Leo: "That's what we need to find out."

Then, lasers fire off from inside the lab.

Me: "How's it going, Donnie?"

Donnie: "Not bad!"

Contrariwise, a cloud of fire is emitted from the lab, followed by Donnie rushing out and screaming, smoke coming off his shell.

Leo: "Ok, Donnie, it's late. Give it a rest."

Donnie: "I've almost got it. Just working out the bugs. Whoa!"

Leo & Donnie duck as more rockets emerge from the lab and explode in another room. So, Donnie heads back into the lab to resume fixing Metalhead, followed by Leo and me not long after.

Leo: "Donnie, you gotta shut down his AI."

Donnie: "Shut down his AI? But that would be like turning off his brain!"

Leo: "He's just too dangerous."

Donnie: "We need him, Leo. The Kraang & the Foot are armed up more than ever! It's not worth the risk. Metalhead was glitchy before he plugged into that Kraang computer. He was taken over by the Kraang once already. Are you sure you can trust him?"

Donnie: *sighs* "Maybe you're right. I'll take care of it."

Leo: "Sorry, Donnie."

With that, Leo leaves the lab as I look back at a disappointed Donnie. Having decided that I've held my tongue for too long, I leave the lair and find Leo in the living room reading a comic book. I sit beside him and fiddle with my butterfly knife, keeping my gaze trained on it as I speak.
