I had been crying in the stall for at least five minutes when I heard a soft knock on the door.

"Go away!" I yelled, thinking it was Austin.

"Lily? Everything okay?" A voice called. I couldn't recognize the voice so I sniffled and wiped my eyes, opening the door. It was the girl who sat in front of me in history class, Francine I think.

"I'm fine." I croaked. She looked at me and put her hand on my shoulder. I felt comforted by the friendly gesture and smiled at her.

"Do you know my name?" She asked, half smiling. I shook my head and she laughed.

"My name's Faith, Faith Stevens." She said. I looked at her and realized she was really pretty. She had golden curls, and sea blue eyes, and her glasses just added to what made her look like a geek, along with her white blouse, red plaid skirt and blacks flats.

"Sorry, I dont know you well." I apologized. She shrugged it off like it was no problem.

"Why are you crying?" She asked. I turned away from her, embarrassed that I was crying for a boy

"Just because I got caught up in the wrong group of friends." I said. She nodded like she knew all about it.

"Willow and her friends, huh?" I mumbled yeah and she understood, then a thought came to me.

"Why aren't you in class?" I asked. She laughed at that question like I asked her, "why is the sky blue?"

"Hate class just as much as a popular and I can't stand stand chemistry anyway." She retorted. I just giggled and looked around the pink bathroom.

"If it makes you feel better you can sit with me and my friends at lunch." She offered, which I gladly accepted. "Wanna go to class now?" She asked. We looked at each other and burst into laughter.

We stayed in the bathroom until the bell rang for us to go to lunch. I fixed my smudged masscara and ruffled hair and walked down the hall with Faith on my arm and we ignored all the stares and whispers in the hallway because in that high school bathroom we made a pact to ignore everyone who we considered assholes and/or not worthy of our attention, aka "Peasants" as Faith put it.

While we were walking, out of the corner of my eye I saw Austin walk towards me, I couldn't emotionally deal with him so we walked faster into the crowded hallway until Austin's face disappeared into the sea of high school faces.

I breathed a sigh of relief as we strolled to the table in the corner of the cafetaria where three other girls were sitting.

"Those are my closest friends in this horrible school." She whispered. When I got to the table all of their eyes were on me as I sat down across from a long-haired brunette with a sort of scowl on her face.

"Okay well, guys this is Lily, the new girl from Canada." Faith said motioning towards me.

The brunette sneered at me and scoffed.

"What's she doing sitting with us if she's a popular?" I gave miss pissy a scowl.

"Should I move, taking my popularity with me?" I asked, cocking my head to the side. I stood up and playfully took a step back and stumbled into a chest, a very familiar chest. I turned and saw Austin look at me. I tried desperately to get away but he grasped my arm firmly and made me look at him.

"Why are you upset with me?" He asked searching my sad blue eyes. I opened my mouth to speak, but the words wouldnt come out. Faith stood up and defensively yanked me away from Austin's grip and crossed her arms over her chest.
