Maybe

I opened my eyes to see it was pitch black outside along with my room. My eyes felt incredibly well rested and I felt energized.

I sat up in bed and looked around.

It was empty.

I slumped my shoulders. I had hoped Rob would stay and continue to comfort me.

Standing up I began stretching and looked around my room with my eyes adjusted to the dark. I saw a piece of paper laying on my bed. I picked up the paper and straining my eyes, read it aloud to myself.

Lily,

I had to go but I promise if you need me, I'll be there for you and talk to you. I left my number and house address in case you want to come over.

Feel better,

Robert.

I smiled a bit. He was such a nice guy for taking my side instead of Austin's.

I frowned and looked over at my window. The lights were on and his curtains were wide open.

I could see him sitting on his bed and there was some one else with him.

A girl.

I felt my cheeks heat up. He was awfully upset about my "scandalous" ways but he gets with a girl within twenty four hours of our breakup.

Oh, I was way beyond upset.

I was pissed.

I got dressed in a hoodie and yoga pants before putting on my Nike's.

I picked up the paper with Robert's address on it and memorized it before putting the paper in my pocket.

Sneaking out of my bedroom, I peeked around to see if anyone was awake or if there were any lights on.

Nothing.

I walked slowly past Justin's room and past my dad's. I tiptoed down the stairs that creaked extremely loud as I added my weight to each one.

I made it to my front door after what seemed like forever trying to make sure I didn't make a sound. After I opened and closed my door successfully without waking anyone, I took off in a jog.

The streets seemed quiet and it didn't look like anyone was awake. The cool air whipped through my hair that surely needed a wash.

The street names weren't Robert's street name but since I was pretty good at directions and finding my way I knew I'd find it soon.

I finally calmed my jog to a walk once I finally found Robert's street name and turned onto it. The houses looked like the ones on my street and they looked empty as well as every house I had passed.

I looked at each house number but I could tell Rob's house would be farther down because his house number was a triple digit and I was barely on the two digit houses.

The quiet seemed to scare me a bit.

I didn't like quiet because it meant that something bad was about to happen.

I pushed my thoughts away on the scary thought something could happen and started jogging again. I saw that I was close to Robert's house and felt better.
