Austin's POV

I sat in the principal's office, my fists clenched and my jaw tightened.

I honestly didn't know why I was so angry, I just was. I wanted to punch every person in this school right now.

The sophomore who I beat up was in the nurses office, probably with Lily lying next to him. The thought of him waking up and smirking at her before he touched her flashed through my mind. I stood up abruptly, knocking the chair on the floor.

"Mr. Mahone, sit down." The principal said from behind me. I looked over my shoulder. He was standing with my mom, she had her arms crossed and an angry/disappointed look on her face.

"Hey there Mom," I smiled weakly. I knew I was in trouble.

I picked up the chair I accidentally threw to the floor, placed it the right way but far away from my mom so I wouldn't see her glare at me while I stared ahead at the principal.

"Austin," Mom called out to me. I flinched hearing her stern voice. "Move your chair closer to mine please." I immediately dragged the wooden chair to her, literally touching her chair with mine.

"As I told you before, Austin had gotten into a fight with Jeffrey, a sophomore. I myself don't know the full story but I had heard it was because Austin and his girlfriend were in the middle of the hallway, kissing and Jeffrey was aggravated of it because he really likes the girl. He started the fight but Austin continued the fight and his girlfriend egged him on to fight Jeffrey because he 'disrespected her'."

"Are we talking about Lily?" My mom asked, utterly confused.

The principal gave her a weird expression before shaking his head. "Oh heavens no, Lilian is the sweetest young lady I have ever met and have gladly accepted into my school. She's a great role model..."

I half-listened to the principal as he began rambling on about how great Lily was.

How was Lily? Was she still sleeping? Did her father come to get her? The principal's door was closed and it was pretty much sound proof. I sighed. I wish I knew what was happening with Lily but instead I'm listening to this dumb principal talk endlessly about her.

 *Third Person POV*

Lily's father was rushing from the hospital he worked at. He was worried about her, she's never had this happen before. Was something wrong?

He parked in the staff parking lot, parking next to a crappy looking car. Opening the door of his car, he thought about the past couple of days, wondering if something happened that he didn't pay to close attention to but nothing was coming to his head. He ran inside the main office doors and asked the secretary where the nurse's office was. The secretary told him it was just the door on the right that had Nurse's Office written right above it. After he embarrassingly apologized for being too ignorant, he ran to the nurse's office. The nurse was taking care of a boy who had a swollen eye and his nose was bleeding crimson rivers.

"Is my daughter okay?" Mr. Fox interrupted. The nurse turned around and was awestruck. Lily's father was handsome. She was holding a bloody towel to Jeffrey's nose. The nurse stared at him intently before she answered.

"She's in that ro-room over th-there." She pointed to a closed door where Lily was laying down, still passed out. Mr. Fox ran into the room and closed the door again.

"Smooth." Jeffrey said. The nurse rolled her eyes and handed the towel to him. Getting herself composed, the nurse walked into the room where Lily's father and Lily were. Mr. Fox was checking Lily's vitals but didn't find anything abnormal. The nurse didn't ask or say anything, just watched his face the entire time. He was serious about what he was doing and his serious face was really attractive.
