"Okay, we're here." Mike said, parking the car in front of a nice looking house.

I grabbed my bag and opened the car door, getting out. Faith linked our arms together and walked us to the front. The door wasn't locked so she opened it and walked us in. It was a beautiful house. It looked like my house, comfy, quiet and big. That was until I heard something break.

"Who broke the vase?" Faith yelled. There was some screaming and crying as Faith looked at me apologetically before bolting up the stairs to the ruckus.

"Sorry about them." I heard a male say. I turned around to be greeted by a smiling Mike.

"Who?" I asked.

"Our siblings." he answered. I cocked my head to the side and stared at him. He chuckled. "It's not just me and Faith, we have three younger sisters and four younger brothers. On that note, we also have three dogs, two cats and a goldfish named Jerry."

My eyes widened. "How do your parents keep up with everything?"

He looked uncomfortable at that question as he looked me in the eyes. "They're dead." he whispered.

"Oh my, I'm sorry." I said, walking over to him. He shrugged as if it weren't a big deal.

"I'm sorry you had to hear that Lily, it was just Jacob being clumsy." Faith said, coming downstairs with a boy in her arms. He looked about three.

"Who's this?" I cooed. He smiled shyly then hid his face in Faith's shoulder.

"This is Dylan. He's a bit shy." she replied. She put him down and he ran to a room down the hall. "Do you want to put your bag upstairs in my room?" she asked. I nodded and grabbed my bag, glancing at Mike. He had walked over to the kitchen and started to put some macaroni in a pot for the kids, I guess he's had to be the father figure here.

"Faith." I called. She was in front of me, leading me to her room. As we made our way there I saw rooms with children in them, playing and talking to each other.

"Yes?" she asked over her shoulder.

I bit my lip. "Is it true... about your parents?" I asked quietly. She stopped dead in her tracks and turned around, sighing. "Mike told me."

She nodded. "Yes, it's true, but I'll explain it to you once we go in my room." she explained, opening a door. I looked around and saw it was quite girly. Pink walls, fuzzy carpet, white drawers and a queen bed with pink and purple sheets. I put my bag on the floor near her drawer as she sat down on the bed. "It happened a year ago," she began. "we had just moved back to San Antonio and I was happy. I lived in Texas my entire life, except when we had to move three years ago because of an incident to California. My hair had become lighter because of the sun so nobody recognized me when I went back to school. Well, anyway, back to the original story. We had just moved back and my parents went to go and work on getting a job since they had just moved back here. It was a rainy day and they were driving down a steep hill, arguing about something when my father lost control of the wheel and they crashed into a tree, dying almost instantly." she finished, wiping away some tears from her eyes.

"How did you know they were arguing?" I asked.

"My baby brother was in the car." she whispered.

"Did he die, too?" I asked, hoping for her to say no.

She nodded. "Not instantly, he was taken to the hospital for a concussion and some broken bones. We thought he was okay because he was talking, explaining what happened but then... he died. The concussion he had was bad and while he was sleeping his brain bled out and he died in his sleep. The doctors said he didn't suffer." I rubbed her back in sympathy. She's had a lot happen to her and such, I could never live without my dad, he was my world.
