I was in the van, all of us actually. We were finally going back to the house. I hadn't spoken to anybody since Candy had told me to ask Austin where he went when he had gotten a text message.

"Hey Lily," I looked up to see Faith looking at me. "do you want to go home?" I nodded. She sighed and turned back around. I seriously needed to confront Austin.

James had offered to beat the answer out of Austin, with a joking smile on his face but I couldn't joke around until I knew the answer, the true answer.

We soon arrived at their house and everyone solemnly got out, probably sensing that something was wrong. I sighed as I made my way upstairs to Faith's room to gather my things.

"Are you sure you want to leave? What if he's not even there, you would've gone home for nothing. I don't mean to be a bitch but I am only looking out for you." Faith said from behind me as I put my pajamas back into my overnight bag.

I listened to what she said and took it all in. I knew she was trying to help but like I said earlier, I needed to find out where he went.

If Candy was right, and he had gone to Willow's party after he had told me he was going to his house because his mother had texted him I would feel... betrayed.

He would've lied to me and after he told me he wouldn't hurt me, like everyone else had.

I sighed deeply before running to Faith and giving her a huge hug. "Thank you for being a great friend. I know you'd only tell me things if it would help me but I need to find out what's going on. I promise to call you once I do." I mumbled against her shoulder.

She patted my back gently and nodded. I pulled away from the hug and looked at her. She smiled at me. "See ya later alligator."

I giggled. "In a while crocodile."

I went downstairs and saw the kids lined up to give me hugs. Gabriella looked like she would cry. "I'm gonna miss you, Lily!" she jumped up and I caught her in a massive hug.

"I'll miss you too Gabi! But since I like you guys so much I'll be visiting more often, if it's okay with Faith." I said, looking over at a smiling Faith. She nodded.

Mike cleared his throat and I looked at him as he held the car keys in his hand. I gave everyone a swift hug and James gave me his number to call him if I needed something. I thanked him then was out the door.

I sat in the passenger seat and put on my seat belt as he started the engine. "Got everything?" he asked. I nodded. "Lets go."

I stared out the window as unfamiliar houses passed by. "Is it to much for you to handle?" I blurted out without knowing. Once that question escaped I had to add on. "having to care for so many kids by yourself?"

Mike looked like he was deep in thought, his frown turning into a smile. "Actually, no. I thought it would be too much but it actually was pretty simple. See, before my parents passed, I was the most responsible since I was the oldest so I babysat a lot for my parents. It's kind of like babysitting, except of getting paid you have to pay for everything, from bills, to food to something as simple as clothing. I'm eighteen and I'm a father to so many kids that I get confused sometimes. I want a normal teenage experience, parties and girlfriends. That's somewhat impossible now. What I'm trying to say is that at any point I could've abandoned these guys, but I accepted the responsibility of caring for my brothers and sisters, and even my nephew, and I wouldn't change a thing." he finished.

A tear fell from my face. I hadn't realized I had began to cry.

Mike looked at me quickly. "I didn't mean for you to cry! I'm sorry!" he apologized.

I laughed, wiping away any remainder of tears. "No, it's alright. It happens sometimes. I'm always emotional. Don't sweat it. That really moved me. I'm proud of you and I know for sure your parents are proud also."

He smiled at me before stopping the car in front of my house. I smiled back then opened the car door. I exited the car door and looked at my surprisingly empty looking house.

Mike beeped the horn before driving away and I waved before being tackled in a hug by my crazy strong cousin. "Oh my God! Don't leave me here by myself ever again!" he said, his voice being muffled due to the fact that his face was buried in my shoulder.

I laughed and pulled him off of me. "What're you talking about Justin? I was gone a day.

"It felt like 24 hours!" he exclaimed. I smacked him on the head for being such a doofus. But I soon hugged him because he was my doofus.

"Tell me about what you did." I said as I walked with him following me to my house. We entered the house and the first thing I did was plant my lazy self on the couch. Justin laid himself on me as I grunted. "Get off of me fatty!' he laughed as he jumped on me again causing me to moan for a minute.

"Who's the most swaggiest person you've ever met?" he asked as he looked me at my face.

"You." I wheezed.

He grinned before getting off of me and lying on his stomach, facing me.

"What did you do here?" I asked him, getting myself comfortable.

He laughed and put his head in his hands, laughing. "Absolutely nothing! I legit stayed here and watched all the episodes to Sponge Bob on Netflix. I hope you're happy."

I laughed before saying anything to him. "You're and idiot! Why didn't you call one of your friends or something? You could've had a party." I said, laughing.

He looked at me like, really? Now you tell me?

I shrugged before going into the kitchen, my stomach growling as I opened the fridge. I hadn't eaten anything in a long time, but I was used to starving myself, so it didn't bother me much.

I found a plate of leftover food from the barbecue.

Oh, yeah. The Barbecue.

I needed to talk to Austin. I almost forgot.

Almost.

Sighing, I grabbed the plate and heated up the leftovers.

"Hey Bubbles, what's wrong?" Justin asked, sniffing the air.

I turned to look at him. He was smiling like he used to when we were younger. I remember he used to be so happy way before everything happened. He was the big brother I never had. He struggled just like Mike struggled with his family.

I didn't need to make Justin more upset and stressed so I put on a fake smile and laughed. "Nothing, just waiting for my food to be done," the microwave beeped and I opened it, only to have Justin steal the plate from inside.

"Hey! That's mine!" I squeaked.

He laughed before taking a bite of the rice. He soon spit it out.

"Ow! That's hot!" he screamed as he went into the fridge to grab a Capri Sun, putting the plate down.

I grabbed the plate of food and blew on the spoon of rice before placing it in my mouth, smiling. "You obviously don't know that when something comes straight from the microwave, it's hot." I explained before taking another bite of food. I picked up a piece of rib and ate it, getting barbecue sauce on my face. We looked at each other before bursting into a fit of laughter.

The doorbell soon rang and we both looked at each other, this time confused. Neither of us had invited anyone over as far as we knew.

I decided on getting the door, it was my house after all.

Walking over to the front door I unlocked it and swung the heavy door open. Standing before me was Austin, a smile on his face and a rose in his hand.
