"We will always be under your nose, like the water that runs through a hose. Whether dirty, or clean, or both. If you can't drink it down, then choke."

No!

Zane watches in horror as the roof is ripped off the top of the monastery. In the sky, he sees a dreadful storm. A thunderstorm? A tornado? No.

A hurricane.

And in the eye of the hurricane, he sees an all too familiar face.

CJ Blacksmith.

"I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE!" She shrieked before throwing down the storm she created

"Wait!" Zane cried out. But the storm swallowed him before he could be heard

When he came to, he was shrouded in dust and fog. However, he could smell the unmistakable smell of fire and see two figures in the center of the mist. A hooded figure, and it's rabid bodyguard. Zane's very own son, Kane Julien. The teenager savagely threw fiery sparks and loud explosions in any direction he could find while the cloaked figure stood motionless behind him

"Kane!" Zane called out, beginning to approach his son. "Control yourself! We've talked about this!"

"STAY AWAY!" Kane screamed in anger before setting off an explosion right front front of Zane's face.

The nindroid was thrown back with vicious force into shivering cold water. The temperature was so jarring, Zane's eyes were flung open and at that, he could see the large tomb at the bottom of the lake. It appeared freshly dug, however, the tombstone that sat atop of it was completely unreadable. He had to get out of the water soon, though. He didn't want to rust.

The nindroid grabbed on to the dock before pulling himself out of the water. In the distance, he could hear the blood curdling sobs of his nephew, Nick Lee. Why? Why are you crying? Zane would have asked this question if not for the sight of the tombstone in front of him. His eyes widened.

The name engraved on that hunk of stone caused blood, he swore he did not have before, to run cold.

Before the torn cry could even leave his throat, a large explosion hit the block and some stray buildings in the back

"What?" Zane asked to himself, turning around to face the cause of the explosion

A woman with long flowing hair floated high in the sky, staring dead on at the large, full moon

"Laura...?" Zane asked softly

Though he received an answer to her name, the creature that turned to face him was not Laura, but a ravenous oni

"We will always be under your nose; like the water that runs through a hose. Whether dirty, or clean, or both. If you can't drink it down, then choke."

"What...?"

It lunged for Zane at once and he cried out in true fear.

"LAURA!"

"PA!"

Zane flew out of sleep and sat upright in his bed, breathing sharp, jagged breathes

"Damn. Who's eating you in that dream, pa?" Kane chuckled lightly as he stood over he still shaken father

"...Good morning, Kane." Zane smile wearily

"Morning." The teen smiled

"Are you getting ready for school?" Zane asked with a yawn

"Yeah, I was on my way to the bathroom when I heard you crying out for mercy." Kane shrugged, laughing as Zane swatted at him

"Leave me alone, you goofball." Zane smiled
