NINJAGO: Amateurs of Adulthood .2

The four teenagers enter through the front door of the house after the battle with Arachnae. I mean, at least 2 of them did. The other 2, however, lied unconscious in their grasps

"Oh my God...!" Jay exclaimed as he scurried over to check on his daughter. The other ninja hurried over after hearing the panic in Jay's voice

"What happened?" Jay asked as Laura laid her sister down on the couch

"She...took a pretty bad fall..." Laura frowned

"A fall? Wait, wait. Slow down. Start from the beginning." Jay spoke

"Hold on." Zane said. The nindroid stuck out his hand and a soft, blue light scanned CJ's body vertically before focusing on her head

"She's okay." Zane said. "She just has a sprained shoulder and a minor concussion, but other than that-"

"A concussion? Ugh, I should've known..." Jay said with shock before rubbing the bridge of his nose

"Hey, CJ's strong. She gonna be aight." Cole smiled softly as he comforted his husband

"What...What about Kane...?" Kai asked softly

Zane rushed over to scan his own son. He frowned softly before scanning the blonde once more.

"There's...nothing wrong with him. My medical scans say his body is completely fine. Not an injury in sight."

"What? Then why is he unconscious?" Kai asked, turning to Laura and Nick

"Uncle! When we got there, Arachnae turned out to be this huge spider woman!" Nick exclaimed

"She was a huge spider woman. Yes." Laura agreed

"And when Kane went in to attack, she spat this, like, venom stuff at him." Nick exclaimed again

"It was spider venom, yes." Laura replied once more

"She totally screwed his brain, and he came to attack me."

"That's true. I was there."

"And when she left, he just collapsed!"

Laura nodded in agreement. The blonde girl watched as Kai and Zane looked at each other with worry before turning back to their son. She sighed a deep sigh before speaking up.

"I'm sorry. I failed to keep my team safe. If anything, CJ and Kane's injuries are a blatant result of my poor leadership."

"Laura..." Lloyd frowned

"Hey, Princesa. You all came back in one piece. That's the most we can ask for." Morro smiled, slinging his arm over his daughter's shoulders

"But that's the bare minimum, Dad. I need to do better..." Laura frowned

"Hey," Cole started, "you all did good today. There's no need to be so hard on yourselves. Go take a break, okay?"

Laura and Nick nodded softly before heading upstairs, leaving CJ and Kane to rest on the couch with all the adults. When everyone was sure the two teens had gone, Kai sighed a heavy sigh.

" "Good" my ass." The brunette breathed out

"Tell me about it." Jay replied. "Arachnae got away, CJ is injured, and we don't even know what's wrong with Kane..."

"But they tried. Hard. Isn't that what really matters?" Lloyd asked

"Yes. But if she can do this much damage, a villain like Arachnae should not be left out on Ninjago's streets." Zane spoke quietly

"Should we go on patrol tonight, then?" Morro asked

"Yeah, I think we should." Cole agreed

The ninja looked around at each other nodding as they settled on that plan.
