"I'm telling you...he's working for someone. Someone big."

Laura's words pounded inside of Kane's head as he stalked the quiet city of Ninjago.

The fight with Soothsayer was happened the day before, and yet, Kane's heart beat never slowed, he was still keen and alert. He was still ready for a fight.

Kane realized his sister was under so much stress because he failed to catch Soothsayer the first time. And so, as her one and only big brother, he decided he would take care of the problem himself.

The cold air of Ninjago city, embraced the blonde as he jumped  from roof to roof in the dead of night. One might think that 1 AM wasn't the best time to catch a villain, but Kane believed otherwise. After all, how can you wreak havoc during the day unless you plan the attack during the night? The teenager patrolled the city, crouching down on the edge of a building and quietly watching and listening for any disturbance. As he stood up and took a few steps, he heard the soft crunch of an extra pair of footsteps on the roof far off behind him.

Kane struggled to hold his grin as he realized things were going according to plan.

The teen walked carefully atop the roof of the building, pretending as though he was still looking for someone. When he stopped, the footsteps stopped. When he went, so did they.

Man, Soothsayer. You're really not as slick as you think.

At the same moment Kane had that thought to himself, his foot slipped off the side of the building. He only caught himself by falling backwards onto the roof, he foot still dangling off the edge.

"Oh shit, that was close..." The boy sighed to himself

"It was, wasn't it."

Kane looked up to see none other than Soothsayer towering over him. The man's blue eyes seemed to glow under the cover of darkness.

"...Soo-"

"If I were to push you off this building right now, how would you save yourself?" The man asked lowly

"...What...?" Kane voice was hard as he mentally prepared himself for anything

"What would you do, gray ninja?"

"...Well...I'd probably take you down with me. And while we're falling, I'd switch sides with you and use your body to jump off of...and land back on the roof..."

Kane shifted awkwardly as he waited for a reply, but received none. The two boys watched each other silently, hearing nothing but the gentle blow of the wind and the sharp sound of rain hitting the pavement every now and again.

The blonde slowly stood to his feet, keeping his eyes on Soothsayer the whole way up before stopping as the two stood eye to eye. Actually, not eye to eye. Soothsayer was a little bit shorter than him, Kane hadn't noticed until just this moment.

"Look, I don't want to fight you, man. But Ninjago has had enough of this. Come with me to Kryptarium Prison peacefully, and that'll be that." Kane spoke lowly

"...Where has your fire gone?" The other boy asked

"Please, no more of this extrospective bullshit. You're going to Kryptarium tonight. Whether it's the easy way or the hard way."

The space between them was quiet once again for a few seconds before the young ninja extended his hand into the silence. His hand was outstretched, not to much, just enough for Soothsayer to meet him half way.

"Please..."

Silence.

"Alright. I'll go."

"...R-Really...?" Kane asked, barely concealing his excitement
