hello all, i've moved on from trying to write the last chapter of to die for— its been so many years since i started this story. i'm a 22 mow and i'm finishing up cosmetology school next semester, when i started this story i was 16-17 (i dont remember lmaoo) i don't like this story, it's a horribly written work with lots of of plot holes that i'll never care to fix. but to the 3 people in the world who want the ending, id hate to fall off the face of the earth on the very last chapter. that's just rude lol, so i'll be explaining what i remember of the ending i planned, as well as releasing the less than half finished draft of the last chapter. so without further ado, the ending of to die for—
soyeon is the one who killed shuhua! (pretend to be surprised)
i dont remember all of the details, but i know the confrontation was supposed to go somewhere along the lines of— soyeon confronts shuhua regarding shuhua's abusive behavior, they have a verbal dispute that leads to a physical one, and thats when shuhua pulls her gun. during the altercation, soyeon disarms shuhua and turns her gun back onto shuhua, shooting shuhua in the head. by the time soyeon fired the gun, shuhua had already raised her arms in surrender, which was how she was able to get a perfect shot. soyeon struggles deeply with coping with this guilt and has nobody to confide in, hence the slow degradation of her sanity and moral compass as the story progresses.
as for the end, i was originally intending for soyeon to reveal her crimes to (y/n), and then proceed to kill (y/n) and then herself. later on, my plan pivoted to yuqi having a grande exposé at her going away party, and soyeon killing only herself. either way, soyeon was always going to die, but i think in my heart i was always going to kill (y/n) too lol
thanks guys for everything seriously. this story gave me so much to do when i needed a distraction in highschool! but i gotta move on
below is the very unfinished draft of the final chapter that i never published! it's pretty cringe but i figured after all this time itd be wrong of me to not include SOMETHING haha
bye everyone :) i really appreciate you all so much. thank you for giving teenage me something to look forward to.
💗💗💗💗 love yall forever

"What a day, hm?" Soyeon huffed as she plopped down in the bed, letting out a sigh. After the events that went down at the station, everyone required some much needed rejuvenation time. It was finally sinking in. The case was closed. Maybe I could finally live the normal life of a university student again, whatever that meant. I had no idea anymore.
"You good, babe?" Soyeon checked in, furrowing a brow at me.
"Ah, yeah. Sorry. Stuff is just sinking in for me and all. I feel so weird." I clarified, taking a seat next to her.
"That's good." Soyeon grinned, grasping my hand lovingly. "That's the feeling of the burden leaving your shoulders."
"The burden, huh?" I pondered, staring off as Soyeon's arm wended up my backside, rubbing consoling circles. "Yeah... guess you're right."
"Forget about her."
"Who?"
"Miyeon. She isn't who we thought she was... she doesn't deserve to be remembered fondly."
"Is it weird that... I understand why the killer did it? Miyeon, I mean."
"Baby," Soyeon chuckled. "What do you mean?"
"I just... I don't know. Every time I put myself in her position... I just... I can't help but think I would've killed her too." I fought out, frankly barely believing the words coming out of my mouth. Soyeon seemed shocked at my statement, but quickly softened up, gripping my hand even tighter.
"That thought has crossed my mind as well." She sighed, diverting her gaze away from me for a moment. "Believe me, you're not alone. When I thought about Shuhua, I used to get sad. Now I just get angry. I think about her and I wonder how someone so close to me could've been so two-faced, and treated somebody I love so poorly. If I think about it long enough, I..." She trailed off, gnawing on the inside of her cheek.
"It's okay. Don't get yourself riled up." I interjected, pecking her cheek and smiling softly. "As fucked up as it sounds, I... I think I'm glad everything happened. Us being brought together was the best thing to ever happen to me. I wish it could've been under better circumstances, obviously, but.."
Soyeon practically glowed, sighing happily and embracing me gently.
"I love you so much." She cooed, running her slender fingers through my hair. "And I couldn't be happier that you're mine."
In her arms, everything was calm again. That feeling that was reserved for just her and her alone, that warm sensation of knowing you're home. That you belong. It was magnificent, and suddenly, I didn't really care about the case anymore. I tossed aside any uncertainties I had. I think that's when I knew it— that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with this woman.
"I love you more." I muttered sweetly. With that, suddenly Soyeon seemed to become even more affectionate, grinning at me and gently grabbing my face by the chin. She pulled me into a kiss, and before I knew it, I was laying down with her on top of me. The kiss didn't stop, and we became tangled with each other. Her hot fingers grazed my skin as I felt her hot breath dancing on my lips, making me salivate in anticipation.
"Baby.." Soyeon breathed sensually into my lips, letting the word marinate on the surface of my skin before preparing to speak again. "I need you to promise me something."
"Yes, my love?" I uttered sweetly gasping lightly as Soyeon's lips met mine again for a moment—but only for a moment. Her nose met mine, and she smiled as her fingers wended up to my cheek, leaving gentle traces.
"Please promise that you'll always love me." She panted, stroking my cheek with her thumb adoringly. "No matter what."
I grinned and ran my fingers through her disheveled, inky black hair.
"I agreed to that from the moment I fell for you." I replied, gazing at her irresistible eyes with admiration. "I'd look for you in every life time."
"Every lifetime?" She whispered.
"If I couldn't find you in one lifetime, I'd look for a lifetime I could see you again."
Soyeon softened even more, her tender fingers brushing lovingly on my cheekbones.
"You are to die for." Soyeon gushed, her voice cracking, almost as if on the verge of tears. "I'd die if that's what it took to be reunited with you."
"Good thing I'm not going anywhere." I uttered, letting her envelope me in yet another drowning kiss
