The sun was just breaking through the clouds the next morning when the girls got up. Lainey dragged Daniel next to Marcus and Pin and left him lying in the dirt as they packed up all their stuff and got on their horses.

Priscilla whined as Lainey separated her from Elvis, "come on, girl, you'll see him soon. You never get to see me anymore." She coaxed her out and soon they were on their way, leaving the boys to get up whenever they were able.

"Should we wake them?" Jade asked and Zoe shushed her.

"Hey, no way. All is fair in love and war."

Lianey then chuckled, "We should set off. It's a long ride north." Gaby then joined them back. "There you are."

"Where are Mia and Susie?" Becky questioned, looking for their last two members.

Gaby smiled to herself, "I thought they could do with a relaxing getaway." She winked at Lainey who smiled back at her. Of course they head some type of plan, Mia always does.

The girls rode off just like they had the other day while Gaby told them what she did. "You left them on an actual island?"

"Too harsh?" Gaby questioned with a laugh as they slowed down a bit.

Jade sighed, "I mean, I'm not sure it's Pony Squad-approved behaviour."

Becky chimed in, "Well, I think it's the best thing l ever heard."

Zoe sighed, shaking her head, "I still can't believe Mia was gonna steal our idea."

"And our glory," the blonde reminded her, "She can't stand anyone else being the centre of attention."

"She really can't," Lianey shook her head before turning to Gaby as Jade spoke to her

"They tried to buy you off. But you told them where to stick it. Nice one." Everyone smiled at the two. They were finally getting somewhere with this and soon, Gaby was going to be officially apart of Pony squad.

"To the stone!"

They got to the beach and stopped at a hill, "'The Maid was laid to rest at the most northern point... in a forest of thorns,'" Zoe read and looked around.

"But I don't see a forest of thorns, and I don't see a burial site," Jade said, pointing out the obvious and they walked down the sand dunes.

"There's no stones. It's just sand," Becky complained.

"Maybe it got buried by the tide rising?" Lainey suggested, but the tide had actually lowered in the past years so it didn't make any sense.

"Well, we can't give up."

Becky smiled, looking in the distance, "Bob, look! Firefly came back for you!"

"Stop! Wait there!" Mia screamed.

"Ooh, they look really mad," Zoe chuckled and the girls laughed.

Gaby walked forward with a smile on her face, "I'll handle this." Mia and Susie came to a stop next to them. "Look, I told them about your little plan. You got everything you deserved."

"Forget about that!" Mia insisted. "We found a danger sign."

"What are you guys saying?" Zoe asked, leaning forward.

"This whole area's a military zone." Each of their eyes widened as they looked to each other in panic, "Did you not see the signs? It's full of explosives."

Lianey sighed, "the map was a military map, the x isn't the stone, it means landmines! We have to warn the boys!" She grabbed out her phone and tried to call Pin. "He's not answering, Zoe, try Danny, Mia– try Marcus!" Each of them dialled their numbers, but went to voicemail every time.
