THE KEY TO MY HEART

We didn't wake up until the next morning when Cindy's cellphone rang.  We can only hear Cindy talking to the clinic employee in Sacramento.  She ends the call.

" I guess you two will have another guest while I am in Sacramento.  My friend Silvia will be staying here. One of my former patients requested me and my team to work on his burns. I won't be back until we leave close to Christmas. He won't trust anyone else to work on him.  Julia, do you remember Scott the fireman? He got burnt again, saving a baby. He told the hospital he would rather die if me and my team and I didn't do the surgery. My team is waiting for me at the airport."

Lisa and I helped her get packed.  She kisses us and tells us Silvia is a retired porn star but has other businesses. She is to date her after her older sister Sophie talked about her being intersexed. She met Silvia with Sophie at a bar on Silvia 21st birthday.  Silvia is the one who told Carlo about how she badly talked about her to her friends. I knew of Sophie but didn't know she had a younger sister. I knew my Carlo slept with siblings before, but not at the same time. We told her we would welcome her.  She told us that Sophie, who was closer to Sylvia's fiance, slept with him in her bed .She kicked both of them out. Silvia was a gray technician before she became a porn star. Her family parents are retired doctors. She just needed a place for away from her beach home in Los Angeles.  Cindy takes her truck with her luggage. We have just finished eating breakfast when we hear the doorbell. We see on the camera that she is very attractive and drove a hybrid Porsche like Jaime's.

" Cindy told us you would be coming. I am Lisa Brooks, head of security.  This is Cindy's wife,  Dr. Julia Ruiz. Please come in and get out of the rain.  We will help you with your luggage. You have a beautiful home and property, Dr. Ruiz. "
Please call me Julia.  We will go up the elevator instead.  Lisa, your packages are arriving."

Silvia and I are in the elevator with her luggage.  I noticed her gun in her purse.  We exited the elevator.  I take her to the guest room on the opposite side of our bedroom.  Lisa is on the other side of my bedroom.  I ask her if she has eaten breakfast. She says yes but would like to do the cooking while she is here. It helps her calm down. I tell her that won't be a problem.  I tell her about the green house. I leave her to unpack. I  am in Lisa's temporary bedroom and Lisa has packages from several companies.  We have her other clothes folded or hung up already.  Lisa asks me how she is doing.  I tell her fine and cooking helps her relax so she wants to do all the cooking while she  is here.

" This was on the porch, too. A note from Alexa, too. I didn't read it."

I read the note. She and Jaime had the photographer to refund us for the photos we chose of the wedding.  I opened the box. It has the photo album,  the video, and photos in frames.  I take the box and the note to my bedroom.  I begin placing the photos throughout our home. One, I am hanging up, and I miss a step and fall when Silvia catches me.

" Thank you. I will get you keys for the house and the garage. I will write the alarm code for both. Please memorize them and burn it."  " Julia you just have to tell me the codes and which one goes to what. I will remember."

I am carrying the hammer and the ladder. I tell her the codes. I give her the keys and the garage opener.  She thanks me and asks me which garage.  I tell her which one.  She thanks me again and leaves. Lisa says she will take the ladder and the hammer to garage.  I let. The kettle is ready.  I turn off the stove and get three cups to pour hot water for the tea bags. I am done.  I get the Stevia, honey and regular milk, since I don't know what she likes in tea. I make mine and Lisa.

" I have tea bags . Please choose which one you want. I wasn't sure how you like your tea." " I use local honey or Stevia and thank you for everything. Lisa, Cindy and I was hoping you would recertification me so I can carry my hellcat. Julia do you mind if I look around your home to get familiar with your home?" " Silvia,  I  will be starting a class once I am done with my tea. Julia, Julian, Liz and Peter will be in the class with you. Do you have several boxes of ammo?" " I bought a case." " Yes, feel free to look around. Two rooms are locked but anything else you may."

Silvia left with her hot tea to the guest room. The others arrive. I tell them we have one other person. When Peter sees, Silvia,  he picks her up and hugs her. He introduces her to the others. Julia left to go unlock the gun range and turn off the alarm. We arrive and she is just locking the safe up. She has placed paper targets in the table. She has chosen her lane as hee main gun and boxes of ammo are on the little fold down flap.  We all pick up a paper target and push down the flaps to place the extra boxes of ammo and magazines. We all push the button so the main target with two clips move towards us so we can hang the target. We push the button back where Lisa tells us too.  She goes over the rules.  We all place are ear plugs in and safety glasses. We load up our extra magazines.  Lisa has us to disassemble our guns and reassemble them. She tells us what area she wants us to aim. She goes behind us each and watches our stance and how we hold our weapon to get ready to shoot. She only helps Liz and Peter.  The rest of us are shooting well and follow all her directions.

" Please use the restroom and/ or get something to drink. Please return in 15 minutes.  Silvia,  Cindy didn't tell us how well you shoot. You have been hitting the bullseye in every shot. This is very rare."  " Thank you. I practice a lot at home.  I have my own indoor and outdoor range." 

Julia states is shows. Everyone has left. I am the last one because I write notes on each person. Everyone has returned. I tell everyone give me time to set up the last part. I have to bring out boards and attach them to the wall to keep them standing.
