We were up and ready by nine thirty. We went outside with our snow shoes and got our poles. Everyone was showing up. We agreed which way to go abs begin walking with the snow shoes and poles. People continue to give me their condolences. This definitely is a close group for them to all know. Julia's older brother, his family and theirs couldn't make it. They were spending it with his wife's side of the family, since they spent with us all. The same went with David and his family, Elisa and her family, Steven and his family and Julia's cousins and their families and their mother. Her Tia chose to stay in Sacramento in warmer weather. There is like forty of us walking in the snow with our poles. The view was gorgeous. We could see the snow on the mountains and the lake frozen. We walked for 15 miles one way and back to our cabins. We would meet for dinner at the casino. The roads were being plowed.
We returned tiredvand hungry. Since there was left over food, Silvia had us serve ourselves and she warm them up. Julia made hot tea for us all. We are sitting changed eating a hot lunch and talking about Silvia's businesses. She said she needed to do some of her business while she was in Los Angeles in person. We told her we would do the same at our clinic. We did the cleaning and started the dishwasher. Silvia started to do our laundry. This cabin had several washer and dryers so it didn't take long. We all folded our own and put them away. We all went to our rooms to take a nap and would get up in time to take a shower and get ready to have dinner and whatever else the group decided on.
" Cindy, I am worried about her. You know her better than I do. She is making an effort for us all. We all know she is grieving and she loves Christmas the most. In a few days, it will be Christmas and hard for her. "
" Babe, I know she had sent their gifts to them earlier and they called to thank her. They had a photo of themselves taken with the clothing, coats and shoes on. She showed me the photo in the frame when it arrived. This is the last photo she has of them. It's out on the dresser. We will need to help her plan the funeral and celebration of life."We talked a little more before we fell asleep.
We all were ready and in Cindy's BMW on our way to Bally's casino for dinner. Traffic was busy because it is evening time and close to Christmas. We finally arrive and Cindy parks. We all get out dressed warm but comfortable. We make our way into the casino and to the restaurant we chose to meet. Cindy's niece made the reservations for us all. Cindy told the hostess the name the reservation was under. She hands us menus and we follow her. She tells us a waitress will be here to take our food orders when the rest of our party arrives. We have water and ice tea to start with.
