"Okay, this is definitely the one." Leah spun Sophia around, helping her slip her arms through the straps before arranging them across her open back.
"You said that about the last three options too." Sophia grumbled. For the last hour and a half she had let herself become Leah's dress up doll. Trying on outfits, swatches of eyes shadow, lipsticks, you name it. Most of the dresses Leah brought were too bright and flashy for a casual movie premiere.
Luckily Dior had gotten back from her interviews not too long ago, and was eager to help Sophia work her hair into an effortlessly natural style.
Sophia snuck a peak at her phone. "I only have 30 minutes until we leave!" She exclaimed. She reached for the back of the dress to try and help zip it up more efficiently, but Leah swatted her hand away.
"Calm down! I mean it this time girl, this dress is definitely the one." Sophia felt the zipper slide up to her lower back, and then she was ushered over to the full length mirror.
"Woah." Sophia spun around, looking back over her shoulder into her reflection.
It was a fitted and silky long black dress, with spaghetti straps coming down in a criss-cross pattern across the open back. A small slit ran down from the middle of her thigh. It was just casual enough, but still elegant. Perfect.
"I love it!" She grinned as she threw her arms around Leah, who squealed in excitement.
"I knew you would! Plus, I think I know someone else who'll like it just as much. Maybe even more." She pulled away from Sophia, wiggling her eyebrows seductively.
"Oh yeah, that boy is so gonna have a heart attack when he sees you." Dior teased, plopping down onto the couch.
Leah turned back towards the mirror to glance at Sophia. "Okay, the term heart attack may be a bit much. Knowing him, he'll try to act all chill and keep his cool."
Sophia secretly hoped what she said was a lie.
Dior locked in on Leah, standing back up with her hands on her hips and eyebrows raised. "Fine. Wanna bet?"
"Five bucks."
"You're on."
They added a few finishing touches. Jewelry, maroon heels, and mauve red lipstick. Leah stepped back from Sophia's face after adding the smallest bit of smokey eyeshadow, smiling at her hard work.
Dior perked up from her slumped position on the couch. "Y'know, I think you should make a little insta reappearance. You look way too hot not to post."
Sophia sighed, putting in her second silver hoop earring. "I don't know. The comments are only gonna make me feel bad."
Leah gave her a sympathetic look, tucking Sophia's hair behind her ear. "You're gonna have to post sooner or later. I say rip the band-aid off now while we still have some time before our own premiere."
Leah was right. She was going to have to get back online eventually, and her mind flashed to Walker's mention of making a few posts of each other. She should probably get a some personal pics up before then.
"Okay." She took a deep breath, smiling at her best friends. "Mirror selfie sound good?"
"Sounds like I'm gonna have to make you my wife!" Dior beamed back, winking.
