The response was immediate.

Sophia's mom had the police on the line in a matter of minutes, and her phone was taken from her the second they arrived. The questions were endless.

"How long have you been getting these messages?"

"Do you know of anyone who would want to cause you harm?"

"Do you feel safe?"

Her answer was more or less the same to the last two questions. "I'm not sure." She admitted.

After Christmas, they all packed up and moved to a new hotel. For safety, and because they had no need to be near set. The group planned to spend New Years together before going their separate ways until the press tour.

So, they found themselves once again in New York City, this time on one of the tippy top floors of a sleek hotel by Central Park. The night before New Year's Eve consisted of a huge sleepover in the living room. Sophia was sure they played at least a thousand rounds of Mario Kart.

They wandered around the city near their hotel the rest of the day, occasionally getting stopped for photos or by people who wanted to say hi.

Every single time someone walked up to them, Walker would shift closer to Sophia.

"Can never be too careful." He joked. "For all we know your super stalker could be that little girl with the bow in her hair, right?"

"Wow, I think you cracked the case Walker." Sophia rolled her eyes good naturedly.

She hadn't had a phone since the police confiscated it, so Charlie had offered she keep his on her incase of emergency. They weren't stupid enough to let her be out and about with no way to communicate.

As the day slipped away into the evening, the festivities officially began. They decided on an all black theme for their outfits

"Oh cute! Long sleeves are smart, since we'll be outside

"Oh cute! Long sleeves are smart, since we'll be outside." Dior commented, pulling on her own clothes.

They were getting ready to go watch the ball drop in Times Square, and there was just over an hour until midnight.

Sophia pulled a piece of her hair back, securing it with a bobby pin. "Do we have noisemakers or anything to use when it hits midnight?"

Leah bounded up to her, her hair and makeup done to perfection. "Y'know Soph, there's other ways to celebrate midnight."

Sophia snapped her fingers. "You're so right! We should get confetti poppers instead!"

Leah and Dior shared a look before collapsing into a fit of giggles. Sophia turned towards them, crossing her arms.

"Okay okay, what stupid Sophia thing am I missing now?"

Dior came up to her, grabbing her hand and twirling her around.
