They burst through the door of the Scobell's house, Sophia clutching a stitch in her side. She was back to glaring at Walker. "What are you, a cross country kid?"
"Yeah actually." He responded, barely out of breath.
The pair made it halfway up the stairs when Walker's dad called to them from the kitchen.
"No girls in your room bud."
Walker's face turned at least three shades more pink. "Dad it's not like that! We're looking at work stuff."
They heard his dad laughed good-naturedly. "You know the rules kiddo. But if Leena's with you I'll allow it."
Walker leaned his head back in annoyance before continuing up the stairs, yelling down the hall for Leena as he opened his door.
His room was more or less what she expected. One wall covered in movie posters, a desk with a computer monitor on it, and his bed shoved in the corner. What she didn't expect was the multiple swords and freaking katanas on the other wall.
"Nice room." She commented, sitting awkwardly at the edge of his bed. He sat in the desk chair, clicking on the computer monitor. At the same moment Leena walked in, promptly flopping flat on the bed next to her.
"What's up?" She asked.
"Oh nothing." Walker responded. "Dad said you needed to be in here if Sophia was, and I kinda have something important to show her."
She sat up, and Sophia felt embarrassed to be sitting next to her, feeling positively ugly next to the tall skinny blonde. Leena looked at her.
"I think you have the prettiest eyes I've ever seen." Leena gasped, leaning in closer to see better. Sophia giggled nervously. Ew, remind her to never giggle ever again.
"Got it!" Walker spun around in the chair, motioning them over. Sophia leaned over his shoulder, reading the screen out loud.
"Casting call for recurring role in Disney+'s Percy Jackson and the Olympians." She squinted as she read the fine print. "Teen girl (15-16), 5'2-5'4, agent required for audition reel application. Auditions are open at this time due to recent developments."
She looked at Walker. "Are you seriously asking me to audition? Because I think you're putting way too much trust in the fact that I causally did theater the past few years."
He looked her up and down, glanced at the screen, and then back to her.
"C'mon Sophia, you totally fit the character description. And you know the series like the back of your hand, and you have past acting experience."
He held his hands up jokingly. "Plus, not to brag, but I think knowing me helps a bit too."
Leena grabbed both of Sophia's hands, backing up to look at her better. She nodded.
"He's totally right, and you're gorgeous, which when it comes to a character like Silena is sort of mandatory. Don't you think Walker?" She smiled mischievously.
He mumbled something Sophia couldn't quite hear, scratching the back of his neck.
Sophia shook her head, dropping her hands. "I don't know guys. This isn't like some school play, it's serious acting." She backed up to the bed, sitting down defeatedly.
The two siblings shared a look before Walker came over, sitting next to her.
"Not to be pushy, but you said yourself that you feel stuck. I get it if you're 100% against auditioning, but it would never hurt to try, would it?" He asked. "It didn't hurt me, I can promise you that."
