They all trusted Walker. They really did.

And Sophia hated herself for it, because it was the reason they waited until the next morning to finally put in a missing person's report for him.

He was gone.

And then it only got worse. And worse.

Walker's parents were begging her to remember where he said he was going, and through her hysterical sobs she explained she had tried to ask, but he never told her. She couldn't take the heartbroken looks on their faces, the looks she begged wouldn't melt into betrayal if they ever decided it was her fault.

Her fault for not stopping him. Her fault for letting him comfort her. Her fault for pulling him too deeply into all of this on the day she ran to his house, begging for him to photograph the bruise on her cheek.

The day she kissed him.

Walker wouldn't answer his phone. His location was off, which led everyone to begin calling him, praying for an answer. Then the calls began to go to voicemail. His phone had died.

Leah, Aryan, and everyone else were calling home, each explaining quietly and somewhat tearfully the situation. Leah had stepped outside to make her call, and when she came back the tear streaks on her cheeks only sent another stab of pain through Sophia's heart, the two girls falling into an embrace.

It was a big deal. The biggest fucking deal ever. Nothing going on in her life right then compared to this, not even close. She wondered how long it would take for the fans to find out, what they would say. God, she couldn't even begin to imagine.

By that evening they had gotten a call from management. Rick and everyone else on the team were pulling endless resources to aid in the search for Walker, and that was when the news officially went public.

It was like punishment, scrolling through her new phone and seeing the headlines that lit up her screen.

"BREAKING NEWS: CHILD STAR REPORTED MISSING. FOUL PLAY INVOLVED?"

"YOUNG ACTOR WALKER SCOBELL NOW MISSING FOR 24 HOURS."

"EVERYTHING WE KNOW ABOUT THE RECENT DISAPPEARANCE OF WALKER SCOBELL."

She scrolled further, getting lost in the comments.

Our support to his family, those who are related and those who mean the world to him otherwise.

Sophia groaned, the noise building into a raw yell. "FUCK!" She forcefully threw her phone to the ground, startling Aryan, who was sitting next to her on the couch in the otherwise empty living room. "These tabloids are making this out like another form of stupid fucking entertainment. For god's sake he's missing!"

"I know, I know." Aryan reached his hand out to calm her down, picking the phone up and setting it on the coffee table in front of them, not bothering to look at her. His mind was most likely too preoccupied. "This whole situation is a living hell. We have to find him Sophia."

He was zoned out, eyes not quit seeing the carpet that they were aimed at. He was repeatedly rubbing a spot on his left wrist with his right hand, and she realized it was beginning to bruise from the constant pressure.
