Featherkit woke to the sounds of her littermates noisy chattering"When can we go outside?" that was cloudkit's voice"I told you, when featherkit's ready" Flowermist's gentle voice sounded. "But i want to go out now!" Amberkit complained. Annoyed that they woke her, Featherkit dug her head into the moss, trying to block some noise out, only to wonder: what is the outside world like? She knew that Amberkit and Cloudkit have already opened their eyes so she had to do it soon.
This morning Featherkit woke up feeling brighter than usual, it had been a day since the dumb argument of her littermates wanting to go out and she decided that today was the day she would do it, she would open her eyes. For the first time, she blinked open her eyes, but to her disappointment, everything was the same, she still couldn't see. Then, her sensed that her littermates peering at her, she heard them meow loudly"Flowermist! Featherkit opened her eyes, look!" there was a moment of silence, then Cloudkit's voice sounded, quieter than usual. "but why are her eyes cloudy, not clear, like ours?" that was when Flowemist woke, looking into Featherkit's eyes, her fear scent clouding the milky scent of the nursery, her voice panicked, she yowled"Moonblossom!"
