Half the camp was submerged, it was half-moon the tomorrow, the herbs were running out, cats were starving and it had been just pouring with rain for little more than a quarter moon, Featherpaw wasn't sure what to do... she wasn't sure how long the elders would last, Stormpelt had badly aching joints due to the cold weather and Goldenheart had been coughing all night. Featherpaw had given her some coltsfoot but the affect wasn't to strong, she was worried that they would loose quite a number of cats, Heathersongs kits on their way to, Featherpaw had guessed it had been about a moon or so already before they found out since there was already faint milk scent on the young queen when they discovered. Another worrying thing was that Flowermist kept waking up with unexplained wounds all over her pelt and the scent of unfamiliar cats and mud wreathing around her, Both of her adopted sisters had come over to her and Moonblossom about this problem although neither could explain where the tortoiseshell she-cat got the wounds from.

This sunhigh Featherpaw managed to convince her mentor to let her go outside, despite the height of the water pretty much up to her belly in camp she found it was better outside with the mud and dirt soaking a little of it so that but it was still halfway up her legs she found she could wade quite easily through the water. The truth is that she came to find Silvercloud to find out a little more about Reedcloud. Locating her friend near the border, Featherpaw stepped close to where she thought a bush was, making it rustle and hopefully catch the Riverclan medicine cat's attention.

Silvercloud POV:

Silvercloud scanned the area for dock leaves and spotted some near the Thunderclan border, going over, she heard a rustle of leaves across the border and saw her friend Featherpaw's silver tabby pelt behind a bush. Wading carefully in the water, Silvercloud scanned her surroundings for border patrols before going over to the Thunderclan border and calling quietly across to the Thunderclan medicine cat apprentice, "You can come out now, coast clear, what is it?"

Featherpaw heard her friend's voice and padded over to the border, which was a stream, well it didn't look like it anymore, the flood had caused the stream to dissapear underneath the floodwaters and the scent markers to wash away, the only thing marking the borders was memory and hostility. "Silvercloud," Featherpaw started, turning her blind blue gaze to where her friend should have been, "I need you to tell me about Reedcloud."
