"Wake up Featherpaw, you're covered in blood!" Moonblossom's voice roused the silver tabby apprentice and made her remember last night's experience and stuttered, "Flowermist... Dark Forest... Beware..." Featherpaw's mentor looked at her in concern, and gasped, "Of course that's where Flowermist's been going all this time! You must warn the other clans, get up and eat something, depart immediately after, I'll tell Violetstar and treat Flowermist. Oh, and go straight to the Moonpool afterward, it's half moon tonight." Featherpaw nodded and raced off to the fresh-kill pile, gulping down a mouse and rushing out of camp towards her first target. Riverclan.
Arriving at the Riverclan border, Featherpaw waited patiently for a patrol, and she was in luck, a border patrol had spotted her. "What do you want? Your Featherpaw right? The Thunderclan medicine cat apprentice, are you looking for Rippledstream and Silvercloud?" Featherpaw nodded and the Riverclan cat meowed, "You better come with us, I'm Reedcloud by the way, the Riverclan deputy." Featherpaw's heart skipped a beat, this was her father although it seemed like he didn't know the truth. Cautiously, Featherpaw followed him to the Riverclan camp, there, Silvercloud spotted her and greeted her friend with a purr. "Why are you here? Do you need something?" Featherpaw nodded a little and mewed, "I need to talk to your leader. Quickly please, I need to go to all the clans before sundown and get to the moonpool before our meeting there ends at moonhigh." Silvercloud nodded and turned to a den near a rock and called, "Streamstar! Thunderclan's medicine cat apprentice needs to talk to you!" With a jolt, Featherpaw suddenly remembered that Streamstar was also Silvercloud's mother as a voice sounded, "She better come in, Silvercloud, fetch your father will you, he better hear this to, since he's the deputy." Silvercloud trotted of as Streamstar came over to the small silver tabby and meowed, "Your in a hurry, what is it?" Going into the Riverclan leader's den, Featherpaw heard another cat enter, Reedcloud, she guessed, along with Silvercloud and Rippledstream's scent appearing alongside the Riverclan deputy's. After making sure everyone was here, Featherpaw began frantically explaining what she had seen last night, by the time she had finished, Streamstar was gaping at her, "So that must be what's happening to Willowfrost, her kits were apprenticed around half a moon ago and since she returned to the warrior's den she kept waking with unexplained wounds and reeking of mud, that must be where she's going. Willowfrost's kits, Minnowpaw and Reedpaw have noticed to, they keep coming to me or my medicine cats to inform us. Featherpaw nodded and mewed. "I should get going now, I need to get around the territories before sundown." the apprentice needed to hurry of she was to go to all the clans in one day but luckily Streamstar murmured sympathetically, "I understand, go to our border with Shadowclan, then travel to Skyclan, go through your own territory to Windclan then up to the Moonpool I would say, but of course I'm not sure although that should be the quickest route." Featherpaw meowed her thanks and set of to the Riverclan-Skyclan border, ready for the tiring journey ahead...
Treking from the Riverclan camp to the Riverclan-Skyclan border, Featherpaw had never felt so astonished, who knew the Lake Territories were so huge? She had let herself be guided by Reedcloud, who seemed to have noticed a connection between the two of them to. Upon arrival at the Skyclan camp, the leader, Lightstar came over and greeted Featherpaw warmly, "Your here, I thought you would come." Featherpaw tilted her head to one side, confused, how did the Skyclan leader know? Noticing the young silver tabby apprentice's befuddled expression, Lightstar explained quickly, "Our medicine cat, Cloudberry, had seen one of our warriors in the dark forest, his name is Sunblaze, he's one of our best warriors." Featherpaw nodded and asked, "I guess all I need to do here is tell you the other ones I know?" The Skyclan leader nodded in agreement, "The Thunderclan cat going is Flowermist, my mother and the Riverclan cat is Willowfrost. That's all I know, I'll gather the medicine cats, deputies and leaders to discuss the rest of them next gathering." Lightstar nodded "In that case, thank you for the information, you better head of, Duskstar may be hard to convince unless one of his medicine cats have had the dream." dipping her head in thanks for the skyclan leader, Featherpaw set of to the Skyclan-Shadowclan border...
Arriving at the border, Featherpaw waited patiently for a patrol but instead, it was Hollyflight, the younger medicine cat of Shadowclan who got her name a only the half moon before Featherpaw was apprenticed who greeted her. "Hey Featherpaw, why are you in Skyclan territory? You must have something you need, should I bring you to camp? Hopefully Duskstar will be in a good enough mood to listen." Featherpaw purred in amusement, every cat in all five clans knew about Duskstar's forever changing temper. Stepping into the pine forests of Shadowclan territory, Featherpaw let Hollyflight guide her with her tail towards Shadowclan's camp, nervously, she asked the older medicine cat, "What time is it?" Hollyflight looked up at the sun, which was setting, "Around sunset, you'd better hurry if you want to make it to the moonpool on time and visit my clan." Featherpaw nodded in agreement and added, "Windclan to." the two she-cats were silent the rest of the way and Featherpaw had never felt so weary before, letting herself lean on Hollyflight, the two of them went up to the fierce Shadowclan leader, to Featherpaw's luck, he was actually listening as the young silver tabby repeated yet again what she had told the other clan leaders. After she had finished, there was a moment of silence as Duskstar tried to filter everything that was said in the last minute or so but soon broke the silence. "That must be where Blackstripe's been going, he's one of our new warriors, I gave him and his sister Amberheart their names last moon." the Shadowclan leader growled. After saying farewell to the Pebbleheart and Hollyflight and warning Duskstar not to do anything yet, she set of to Windclan, the longest trek yet, going through her own territory, Warning Heatherstar of Windclan and finally get to the moonpool.
By the time Featherpaw arrived at the Windclan camp she was exhausted, she could barely keep herself upright, she had been leaning on Fernpool, the medicine cat of Windclan's shoulder the entire way and almost collapsed as she sat down. "Yes I know about the Dark Forest's movements, Fernpool's seen one of our apprentices, Swiftpaw there." Featherpaw sighed in relief, she was glad that she didn't need to explain it all over again. "The other cats who are going are Flowermist of Thunderclan, Willowfrost of Riverclan, Sunblaze of Skyclan and Blackstripe of Shadowclan at the moment." Heathersong meowed her thanks before letting Featherpaw go, Fernpool came with her since it was almost moonrise now and the two medicine cats needed to go to the Moonpool. Saying her farewell, Featherpaw and Ferpool left.
