It started as an ordinary day until your aunt's name lit up your phone screen. You answered hesitantly, already sensing what was coming.

"Hi, sweetheart!" your aunt's cheerful voice greeted you. "I know I owe you big after the last time, but I need one more favor. Can you watch Aki again today? It's just for a few hours."

You glanced at the clock. A few hours didn't sound too bad, and after surviving the last babysitting adventure with Rin, you figured you could handle it.

"Sure, I can do that," you said, already texting Rin for backup.

A few hours later, Aki was crawling around your living room, a bundle of energy as usual. This time, though, it wasn't just you and Rin on babysitting duty. Somehow, your friends had managed to insert themselves into the chaos.

Bachira was lying on the floor, making goofy faces at Aki, who was giggling uncontrollably. Chigiri sat nearby, keeping a wary eye on the baby while half-heartedly scrolling through his phone. Isagi had volunteered to help prepare snacks, and Nagi was... well, Nagi was napping on the couch, completely useless as usual.

Despite the extra hands, you couldn't help but find yourself turning to Rin for help every five minutes.

"Rin, can you grab his bottle?"
"Rin, he's trying to climb the coffee table again!"
"Rin, do you think this is normal baby behavior?"

Finally, Chigiri couldn't take it anymore. "You know, there are five of us here. You don't have to rely on Rin for everything."

"I'm not!" you protested, glancing at Rin, who looked far too smug for someone dealing with a hyperactive baby.

"You totally are," Bachira teased, wagging his eyebrows. "Do you trust Rin more because he's your boyfriend?"

Your face turned bright red. "He's not my boyfriend!"

"Yet," Bachira said with a grin, earning a high-five from Chigiri.

Rin, as usual, ignored the chaos, calmly picking up Aki before the baby could reach the stack of books you'd forgotten to put away. "Focus on the baby, not their nonsense," he said, giving you a pointed look.

The first sign of trouble came when Aki decided he no longer wanted to play with his toys and instead wanted to explore every corner of the apartment.

"Should we, uh, babyproof this place?" Isagi asked nervously as Aki made a beeline for the electrical outlet.

"We probably should have done that before he got here," you admitted, scooping up the baby just in time.

"Too late now," Chigiri said with a sigh.

The next hour was a whirlwind of activity. Aki somehow managed to grab Nagi's phone (which woke him up for all of thirty seconds), spill a cup of juice on the floor, and pull Bachira's hair when he got too close.

Through it all, Rin remained unflappable, stepping in whenever things got too chaotic. At one point, he even managed to get Aki to calm down with a lullaby, much to everyone's surprise.

"Is there anything Rin can't do?" Bachira said, watching in awe as Rin rocked the baby to sleep.

"Be nice," Rin muttered, carefully placing Aki in his crib.

By the time Aki woke up, it was dinnertime. You and Isagi had managed to throw together a simple meal for everyone, and the group gathered around the table while Aki sat in his high chair, happily munching on bits of fruit.

"You know," Chigiri said between bites, "you and Rin are surprisingly good at this whole babysitting thing."

"Yeah, you guys could totally be parents," Bachira added with a grin.

You groaned, already regretting letting them stay. "Why does everyone keep saying that?"

"Because it's true," Chigiri said, smirking. "You act like a married couple."

Rin, who had been quietly eating his rice, finally spoke up. "If you're done talking nonsense, maybe focus on helping instead of making stupid comments."

"Touchy," Bachira teased, though he quickly changed the subject when Rin glared at him.

Even with your friends there, you couldn't help but feel like Rin was your anchor in the chaos. Whenever something went wrong, he was the first person you turned to, and he always knew exactly what to do.

At one point, Aki started crying for no apparent reason, and while Bachira and Isagi panicked, Rin calmly picked him up and started walking around the room, murmuring softly until the baby quieted down.

"Seriously," you said, watching in awe. "How are you so good at this?"

Rin shrugged, avoiding your gaze. "It's not that hard. You just have to pay attention."

"Well, you're amazing," you said without thinking, your cheeks heating up when Rin glanced at you, surprised.

"Thanks," he said quietly, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

By the time your aunt arrived to pick up Aki, everyone was completely exhausted.

"You're a saint for doing this," she said, hugging you tightly. "Thank you so much, all of you!"

As she left with Aki, you collapsed onto the couch, sighing in relief.

"Never again," Isagi said, lying face-down on the floor.

"I don't know," Bachira said with a grin. "It was kind of fun. Plus, we got to witness [Your Name] and Rin being all domestic."

"Shut up," you groaned, throwing a pillow at him.

As your friends started to leave, Rin lingered behind, his hands in his pockets.

"You okay?" he asked, his voice soft.

"Yeah," you said, smiling up at him. "Thanks for sticking around. I don't know what I'd do without you."

Rin's ears turned pink, and he nodded, a small smile on his face. "Anytime."

You watched as he left, your heart feeling lighter despite the chaos. Maybe your friends weren't entirely wrong—having Rin by your side did feel a little like home.
